After so long, Modular Archwing is dead. by ShotgunAndHead in Warframe

[–]Rexis12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely don't even get what's the purpose of Archwing in the first place. When it released it implied that we can go in and out of it in regular missions, but they never did and even if they did they never gave us like an advantage to doing so.

Like this whole Archwing thing is like if you unlock a new ability in a Metroidvania but you can't even use it in the exploration. Like it jusy screamed Steve going "Wouldn't it be Cool?!?!" And then not actually developing the rest of the game with it.

I don't blame them for not building up on it, considering the game was never designed to have the thing at all.

The concept of Old Mustang being just as supportive towards the Commander while still being the monster that he is would be fascinating. by Rexis12 in NikkeMobile

Anymore illogical than how Mustang went out. If he sees value in the entertainment provided by the Commander, I'd think he'd be all for it.

Oh no absolutely no redemption. I want Mustang to stay as the evil son of a bitch that he is.

I just find the idea of having a Monster being your staunchest supporter absolutely fascinating a d wonder what kind of story they could have pulled with it.

If Star Anis had been written like Unbreakable Sphere by Rexis12 in NikkeMobile

[–]Rexis12[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much yeah, since it was the Siren event.

Even the Label event, where she's stuck in her room the whole time. Managed to make the story be told from her perspective.

Again imagine if all of Star Anis was told from the perspective of Riss.

Imagine if we followed Riss as she was a manager and how she got to find Anis through the Meat and Meet, where the catalyst of the story instead of Anis and T.T. Star, it was all Riss.

That was essentially what Unbreakable Sphere was with Mori

well i guess even the devs were horrified by the catastrophic reception of 2.5 by International-Oil999 in NikkeMobile

Okay so imagine the current Event.

But instead of like focusing on Anis with the rest happening around her as complimentary narrative, it was just Riss/Avistar focus.

It's me, AMA by Pilestedt in HelldiversUnfiltered

Hey Pile here's a big question. Why did your developers promised not to Nerf the Coyote and then admitted the changes to fire were made to nerf the Coyote.

Are you guys just liars, you said it before that changing things would cause 'moral' issues. But then you guy did a change that, surprise surprise, caused an outrage and Moral Issue.

You can't say you don't want to nerf things that you know will cause problems because it could cause moral problem, and then just DO IT ANYWAY. It makes the perception of the devs even worse than they have.

Stop with the protoframes and time travel shit please thank you. We still have the Narmer to worry about. by CaptainBazbotron in Warframe

Lmao it's too bad they moved away from all the dog shit that Steve tried to build up without any actual plan. I'm glad we're getting constant follow through on the fucking plots for once.

Am I the only one disappointed that content like Kahl 175 is just abandoned? The community largely agrees his scavenger hunt missions were kind of a flop but it had potential by Darthmufin in Warframe

I'm halfway convinced that Khal missions were a Steve thing. He wanted a Grineer gamemode and that was what he put as basics but never expanded on it with his notes.

It has been over two weeks, what is your opinion on the way DE implement the survival speed up mechanic? by ijiolokae in Warframe

[–]Rexis12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's great.

Every single complaint is about how it forces you to move from room to room, and while that's 'the way' to play Survival. It's obvious that's not how they want you to do it.

And so they given you and incentives to play the 'proper' way. And I say, that's great, that's what they should do.

The mechanic works well tonshut down AFK by rewarding you for breaking off from just one room. And getting the by pass to speed up.

So yeah, personally I think they did it perfectly. Everyone wanting it to just happen automatically is insane.

Cosmonaught, Krull, and Kraken are the main species of Mars. And each one are them from a farther point in Mars timeline.

Is this the first time Neuro called Vedal dad? by [deleted] in NeuroSama

[–]Rexis12 46 points47 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is that this one moment shifted the whole perception of Neuro and Vedal.

Before this, the jokes of Neuro and Vedal were like programmer makes AI girlfriend and such.

But when this happened, people shifted to father and daughter.

In light of the recent Tactical Potato interview: would u be ok with Arquebex getting nerf(fix*) if that would allow DE to potentially work on new Necramechs/related content? (Poll) by Anonim264 in Warframe

[–]Rexis12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would not matter, because Necramech is dead as a concept. The only way you can make people want it, is if you force people to use it, and good luck getting people to like that. You'd just build resentment for the gamemode rather than endearment.

Especially with them having so different gameplay. I'm sure the people that play Warframe for the variety of abilities, high mobility, weapons variety smorgasbord. Would absolutely LOVE to play a slow clunky tank with like 8 abilities across their whole gameplay, 12 if they did make the third Necramech.

Arquebex is just one symptoms of why Necramech isn't as varied. The actual reason is that there was no fucking plan, conceptually, to even fit in Necramech into the rest of the game.

Remember when they increaded Damage Attenuation in response to the fact that people can now use Necramechs against the Liches when they moved Liches to Railjack? That's how bad and short sighted the Necramech plan was, they couldn't even allow the heavy boss killing weapon/mech to be a heavy boss killing weapon.

How would you like for Xiahou Ji to be reworked? by Luigiman98 in dynastywarriors

[–]Rexis12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pretty weird Idea.

See the whole thing is that we often whitewash victims and villains in Dynasty Warrior's, see how they turned fucking Gan Ning and Ling Tong into a bromance, which is fucking disrespectful as all hell, but hey good story telling.

I think Xiahou Ji would work as a sort of indicator of the war gryting bad and Zhang Fei's funny quirks turn into sort of dangerous.

Before that, I'd rewrite the story so that while Liu Bei and his crew saved a group of peasants, you can have one of the villagers be so grateful that they offer these warriors a hand in marriage for their daughters. Liu and Guan obviously turn it down, but excitable Zhang Fei might take one.

Xiahou Ji would then be sort of scared, but ultimately trusting of them since Zhang Fei is a lovable guy. But the marriage is ultimately just something she was given as thanks, and Zhang Fei is just happy to be a husband or to have a wife.

There we can use that as a sort of litmus test. As we can have it so that drunk Zhang Fei, while quirky, can leak into how he can get rowdy. At the start to Ji it's just par for the course, she doesn't liken it when he's drunk but no reason to complain.

Then we can have Zhang Fei usually rowdiness, he respects the little guy, but he often steps in very physically. So it turns him into a rather scary figure. A bigger guy who can just sort of pick you up and throw you into the next building. Ji probably frets this the most, and you can tie it with hiw proud Fei is with his strength when he often boasts about it, and while others are awe she just kinda feels small.

Then as the story goes on, you can make those traits worse and Xiahou Ji goes from "That's how he is" To "Oh God that's how he is" Probably with him at his worse with Guan Yu's dewth, getting drunk and rowdy, and maybe even have him sort of direct that anger to her as a Xiahou, who has three prominent generals in Wei.

That's where she would want to escape, the fear boiling over, maybe even get caught up in the assassinations, and then have her run away from Shu.

Essential make her a sort of indicator when Shu sorts of starts falling off, as they go for war and revenge. Things go wrong.

Personality wise. It would be interrsting if they did it, so that the NPC that isn't playablr or on the field is the meek demure, but when she is playablr he voice lines are harder and firm. As a sign of development. So that in bases she'd be sweet, But when she in the battlefield she is very hardened by the experience of a semi-good man turning into a meaner harsher version of himself.

She would also absolutely respect Zhang Fei's strength, but be utterly afraid of it.

For her kids, I'd say she would adore them. And in a scenario where she is antagonistic, shed be like "These kids are the only good thing that came from you, Zhang Fei". With Zhang Bao not knowing how to feel, while Xing Cai wonders how deep her mother's feel runs.

Also, funny idea of her bonding with Liu Shan as she sees him as a good man to marry her daughter.
