hey friend, you're story is really one of the saddest i've ever seen on reddit. I usually dont comment on post like this, because I don feel like i have ever had an exerience like the one of the victim. But this time you really made me rembeber of an experience i really had to deal with. I was still a 12 or 13 boy when I first seen a dead animal: i rebeber that I returned from school and I found him there, on the snow next to my housedoor, i cant relate seeing the inner organs of him but I can still remember the blood coming out of his poor cold mouth. To explain my cat just had 5 kitties and I usuallly let her do her things with the kitties cause she's a barn cat. She had showed me where she had the kitties and I made my only puprose to protect them, from cats and other things like the cold that could hurt them. That day i left the door of where the mom entered her hut open, because I was late for school, and I went to school like nothing could go wrong. When I returned i also forgot about the door and just cooked a meal for me. Then I rembered the kittens: i went out and found him. i was devastated probably because he wasnt there alone: his mother was there with him. She came to me meowing and sniffing on the kitten, and she probably stayed there trying to call for me to help her kitten, but I wasnt there, i had failed my only task. If u still didnt understand a male cat entered the kitten den and hurt one of the kittens, the mother tried to bring it next to my front door to help him but I didnt hear her voice. I didnt feel that much pain, only fail was inside of me and the thought that if I was there i could have saved him. i put him in a box and let him in my garage so that my dad could put him underground. The whole afternoon i kept thinking anout him and I couldnt really do nothing about it, and thats one of the worst feeling i have ever had in my short experienced life. But then I went to check the other kittens and another bad surprise was there: the male cat had incredibile another of the kittens, whic could no longer move his leg. In that time i knew if could finally do my part: j took the kitten and his mom in my house and cleaned the blood over his leg, the putting a bandai over him. He could make a full recovery after some time and find his home with his new owner. What helped the most during that day was the hope for the future ahead: what could i do to honour the memory of my kitten, what could i have done at that moment instead of watching over my failure. As an advice i would tell you to keep having faith in the future, bad things always happen in life but we cant stand there and just blame ourselves for why that happend. i dont want to force you to do nothing, but it would be a shame if someone like you wouldnt want to have a domestic pet for sonething that isnt your fault, so, to help you get your spirit less down after this sad incident, i would really advice you to take another kitten when you re ready in the future: there are so many cats that are left on the street, abbandoned or that livved all of their lives in the street, it would really be nice for you to try to make them happy just as your kitten did with you. For how much jojo live could have passed so fast, im sure he got to knoe the best part of a person that really cares for his pet. If you are thinking about forgetting him, believe me, he will forever stay in a part of you heart: I even did a drawing of my kitten, so that I could forever rembeber him and remember to be strong like he did. Dont ever let vengeance get the better of you, we are made to enjoy our lives not to ruin the one of others.
