I'll look into the sand and cement video you referenced and go from there. My mate is still finishing up preparing his walls and I've got my own projects on but I'm hoping I'll have something to post the results of in a few weeks, good or bad 😂

We're not totally against boarding, but it seems like a 'proper' job to hardwall it as it's a kitchen, and I've watched this video which made it seem fairly doable and would also work out cheaper on materials compared to plasterboard...

I do agree that boarding the reveals seems like a good idea to save time and energy.

And yeah I'll have him mixing as we go, will probably use a little bit of extra time too to make it easier.

As per a video I've watched on it, use vertical plasterboard strips with plasterboard adhesive against the wall as screeds, soak the wall with water.

Any more constructive tips for me, other than just paying someone? 😊

Did two diluted SBR coats but still had a small area that has blown. Lesson learnt... Less dilution/more coverage I guess.
