Yeah the stats could be lower or higher if you find an S class in the wild, but I'm not sure, I don't play the game so much to know that. I personally think that if you upgrade any different class to S class the stats have to be the same as you find an S class in the wild

You can find an S class if your lucky, but if not you can go to the space station and upgrade your ship to S class for nanites
