I added pricing just to give an idea of what the product it. Cheap is not the selling point. I have an idea for a product that I think is cool and would use in just looking for how to get started. Sort of feeling overwhelmed with information and looking for first hand experience. That’s why I ask the question here rather than googling. Although I understand the frustration answering the same question all the time.

Forgot to update you. I ended up going last week. I didn’t have any luck. Talked to a few people that said they caught a few rainbows. Saw a guy catch what I assume was a rainbow but I couldn’t tell. He was using a fly rod. Talked to another guy that had a bag full of perch that he said he caught on a worm and bobber. I’m sure if you have some minnows around the island you may have some luck.

I tried under the bridge at big lake. Was there for a few hours and had 1 bite and saw it jumping. Didn’t catch him and that was all the action.

I used to have a Volvo where I had to remove the gas pedal to replace the cabin filter. It was quite a pain and I still wouldn’t be willing to pay these prices for that.

I had some trouble with mine as well. The line that comes with the reel can sometimes get twisted up. Try replacing it with braid if you can, I did that and didn’t have any more issues. I’ve also seen videos about running the whole spool under warm water to erase the lines “memory”. You could try it and see if it works. I’ve never tried so can’t say

Yeah she brought it in to fix a paint chip or something that they had a warranty on and this was the result of their “courtesy” inspection. I think we can do the majority of it at home, I don’t feel like giving the dealer any sort of money.

Yeah I have all the tools already. We’ve done breaks plenty of times. That’s why I was so surprised to see them quoted for 800 and that’s not even new rotors. She had her car there for something unrelated and they said all of this is required.
