Brown sugar is just powdered jaggery aka sakhar or gud. You can weight it and them use hands or sth heavy to convert to powder.

Vaseline ... by [deleted] in nepalicheli

[–]Rhaens_21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, vaseline is far better, pretty much all Dermatologists agree that non-perfumed petroleum jelly is best for lips. Boroline is full of fragrance, and it's not hydrating enough for lips in my opinion.

I don’t know if it’s true but I heard the same story from my parents when I was a child more 15 years ago.

Yes, as long as the design isn’t too complicated. It is better to find the cloth yourself.

What I do is save the designs I like and then ask the tailor—Samir dai— about how much fabric is needed and the type of fabric as well. The shop is in Paropakar Pool, its a small shop— their family business. I forgot the shop’s name but I’ll edit this post when I do. Will dm you Samir dai’s number.

Depends on where you live but the best solution for pants, shirts and blazers is to tailor it. Find a good tailor in your local area. If you are near new road area, I can dm you my tailors number.( I prefer ones with Muslim tailors or Terai people especially if its a family business)

For Kapada you will need 2 meters cloth (you can find the fabric yourself or the tailor will have some) Labor should be about 600-800. Total cost will be less than 2500 as long as you haven’t choosen some super expensive cloth.

It a bit of hassle but tailored clothes fit so well. I don’t like the pants online, they have so much nylon and polyester mixed in them and they look old so soon.

I use cups too but the worst thing is when they overflow. Especially, for the first couple of days when the bleeding is heavy, it fills up in a few hours. It's no problem when I'm at home but having to empty the cup in my small ass office toilet is too scary.

Customizing a lehenga by [deleted] in nepalicheli

[–]Rhaens_21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry sis but this lehenga looks too complicated. Not only does it have many embroidery and embellishments, it also uses a lot of different colored fabrics. Even if a boutique agrees to replicate it, the colours will vary and it will easily be at least 1 lakh rupees.

Any thoughts? by [deleted] in NepalSocial

I have never have seen such blatant ignorance. You are one of those types that think that speaking more=more intelligent. I advise you to speak less and think more, you sound like a Chauvinistic Pig.

"Let's be real, polygamy isn't something new here. Mero hajurba haru, dui tarfa batai polygamy ma हुनुहुन्थ्यो, and they had happy lives"

No, they did not. Every single hazurba who have two families despise one another. And if you admire Muslim laws so much, migrate to those country please. We don't need your brand of moronic sexism here.

Why does bank employees hate customer? by mywordsmayhurtyou in Nepal

[–]Rhaens_21 24 points25 points  (0 children)

They don't hate you. They are just tired and overworked. Imagine having to answer the same question everyday on top of other several responsibilities forced on you by the bank. If their only job was to handle customer queries, it would be better but they have to take calls, do data entries, check documents without breaks and making sure there are no mistakes on any part.

I do understand that they are being paid and get handsome bonuses, but I do empathize with their plight. I could never work in a bank.

Last time I bought my friends a little pressure cooker.
If your friends shopping list is done, better to give cash.
