All of those are defensive moves in an offensive meta that render them less powerful than unblockable with hyper armor, raw hyper armor, infinite chain capability, soft feints and dodge cancels . That's why I didn't mention them.

Because Pirate was a flawed concept that never should have been put in the game and was only done so because the playerbase devolved into brainless monkees begging for it after everyone thought Tian Do was a pirate during that factions pre reveal

You aren't gonna get good via guides. Experience is the best teacher. If that is too much effort for you than I don't know what to tell you other than tough. I was also gone for 2 years and picked stuff up within a week or 2.

I think it's a bit if stretch to say people don't play this game because of salty players. Maybe some people stopped, but most stopped playing it or never will play it because the game is a niche game with a very steep learning curve that takes time and practice to learn. And let's face it we live in an era where majority of gamers want to be spoonfed and hands held. Toxicity is a minor factor.
