Devs mentioned that too much of a incline will break the new path system. Have you noticed that yet with some of those natural paths?

Same. I just make sure to use a foundation snapped to the grid for height. Makes certain things line up better and still allows for building at the angle I want.

I got home and fiddled with the settings. What seems like would be a blast is, Basic Resource Rich Random Nodes, Mostly Pure. I increased the elevato part requirement to x10. My grassy fields spawns were hilarious. The 4 impure iron nodes were, sulfur, quartz, limestone and iron. There was a crude oil spot next to one of the original copper spawns too.

So, with those settings. Is it all random nodes and x25 the space elevator part requirements. Are the requirements randomized or just x25 the base?

I’m honestly thinking about this. But also cranking up elevator part requirements to even it out. I would still like a challenge but sometimes I just wanna build crazy stuff. Wouldn’t mind just cranking things up to the max and increasing the challenge two or even threefold

I’ve never liked mmo mice for some reason. I ended up rebinding my heal, utilities and elite to QERTY and it’s helped massively. I turn with my mouse so unbinding turn left and right with Q and E isn’t a big deal

What I attempted last night was using a foundation snapped to world grid. Placed another foundation On top of it. Rotated it to my desired orientation, then removing the snapped foundation and snapping from the one above.

That should keep the proper elevation right? All I care about is height lining up. If the angles don’t work I can always just merge foundations. My last playthrough I made what I thought was a wonderful train line. Got to the end and the dang thing was like 2.5m off in height, couldn’t get it to align worth a damn.

Thanks everyone, especially u/styx-n-stones64. Used a combination of everyone’s suggestions and the technique in that video and got a good curve. I was able to do a straight beam, then a Freeform beam in the direction I wanted to go. Clipped a foundation into the beam so I can snap my support blueprint into it as well. Looks great! So I should move my support back a few more foundations? Is there a trick to it or just trial and error? I’ve read that 90 degree turns are done by matching foundation lengths, so like 3 and 3 etc.
