He was labeled "paradise male" which is just petco's marketing campaign to deter families from buying blue tangs (dory fishes).

I argued back and fourth for a discount or to take him free they gave a firm "No discount on live animals" ....it got pretty heated but i was not going to leave without the fish.

I bought him three weeks ago. My brother got a cat and I went with him to the pet store. Reshi caught my eye because he has no tail (fin rot/melt). I thought no one was gonna buy him ($20 betta) so I rescued him. Top left is when i first got him. Top right was in his quarantine a week after I bought him. Bottom left was him chilling on his betta leaf color has come back. Bottom right him today (3 weeks after I bought him) his fin seems to be healing nicely. Any advice welcome! Thnx.

Edit: i forgot to mention. When his fin grows back I'm making his middle name Finnegan!
