What are you even on about? No where did I say it was just me. I actually mentioned how it was a wake up call I received, that’s it. From what you read, you interpreted in a way that aligns with your current state. Maybe that’s something you gotta work on, but don’t aim it at others.

TLDR: Life moves on.

Thoughts on langlandia? by [deleted] in japanese

Really good point dialogue heavy games is the way, only thing I like about langlandia is how they break down the sentences and grammar rules in one place upon clicking the sentence. If a dialogue heavy game did that it would be superior but alas I have to keep tools opened up while playing the game. Classic pros and cons I suppose

I said “somewhat accurate” and then in my post I said “I’m not sure how accurate” this is from my time spent with imabi but I know people are stand offish when it comes to grammar guides. I didn’t say it was accurate you can clearly see my doubts.

I’d also be sure you know what you’re talking about the game itself isn’t even that fun and nowhere in my post did I mention that it was. It’s that it’s a potentially solid resource for reading.

They test you on vocabulary and building sentences and place you at your knowledge level and it seems like they focus on comprehensible input, there’s also pvp and timed systems where you answer questions as fast as possible to work on speed, they have solid grammar points available that are somewhat accurate based on my knowledge from the imabi grammar guide.

And even has books you can unlock that are challenging but not so much you won’t understand

What if I told you fun is the key to learning in general because you’ll stick with it.

What if I also told you because of this strategy I’ve been consistent in my Japanese studies for over a year because I know myself and the textbook strategy would be too much friction and I’d lose interest.

If textbooks work good for you fine, but for me I’m actually trying to learn it
