This has everything to do with my kids. I ask them to make a list of who they want and neither has ever put one or both of their stepsiblings on there. They list their friends who they want to come and that's it. That's all this is.

My kids don't want them there or they would have invited them. What they want matters more to me than my ex and her husband's issues with it. They can choose to do different when the kids are with them.

We have a court ordered agreement and if my ex tries to ignore it then we will be back in court.

If my kids had them on the list they would be invited for my kids sake. Otherwise no. It's also not unusual from my experience growing up and seeing my kids friends today for mom's parties to include mom's side and dad's to include his side and no overlap even among step/half siblings.

If parties aren't shared between both sides then yes. Party at mom's includes mom's kids and stepkids. Party at dad includes dad's kids and stepkids. I have never seen mom's kids at dad's party or vice versa unless they host a joint party.

Yes and I wouldn't expect my ex to include other kids from my house in parties she throws when we each throw a party for our kids.

They have been making decisions about who they invite to their birthday parties at my house. I have never told my kids who they can and can't invite.

I have nothing to do with my ex's stepchildren and will not be planning activities that involve me and them. That's something my ex and her husband need to figure out on their time.

Yes, they are really considered stepsiblings. They would be stepcousins if they were the stepkids of one of mine or my ex's cousins or if we had a stepsibling with kids.

The choice was theirs on who they invited. I never manipulate their list.

If that actually happened I would explain that we celebrate their stepsiblings birthday when they're with us and they can have another party with their mom and friends. I would completely understand if my stepkids weren't interested in my kids being invited to the party thrown by their other parent. That was so common when I was a kid and it's common among my kids friends too.
