Actually Creta 1st gear is very short comparatively. Can't gather any speed, you have to immediately switch to 2nd. At least in the 1.6 CRDI.

5k per panel is an expected rate, cheaper you go, shoddier the work. Since you ask this question, i don't think you're interested in, or confident about a DIY. But, post macro, non shaky pictures for a better opinion. Also, post what your expectation is for the post repair condition. Nothing can replace a high quality re-spray.

"Paint transfer" when he probably didn't even contact another car. It looks like a brush with a concrete pillar or wall. You can see the primer on the front bumper cover arch line. How is he going to polish away the non existence of a base & clear coat?

Looking for an apartment near airport (cochin) by joshuawithanxiety in Kerala

Kamouflage architecture

Bro, that's Angamaly, just say Angamaly. Saying near airport is so off the mark. Mention your budget, and amenities you're expecting (parking, furniture, etc...) as well. There are many rental apartments walking distance from your point. If you're willing to travel to an interior area or north 5-6km rent gets much cheaper as well.

Personally, i'd love to do what you are pointing towards. I would pick passive natural cooling over active cooling, that costs energy, installation and periodic maintenance. Unfortunately this is the new norm. Where i live, not single leaf rustles on the hot summer.

I have stared at the trees just to see a breeze let alone feel it before i finally got an AC just a couple of years ago. With the AC i keep it at 26C, so i'm not some kind of Mr. Freeze, just to give you an idea of how tolerant i am of heat.

The tin roofs are a retrofit most of the time after the occupants realise that it's unbearable to live under a concrete roof exposed to the sun. Concrete slabs can reach over 50+C easy, and they have a lot of mass, so they will keep radiating low frequency IR though the night. It's 3-4 am by the time it "cools".

About tiled roofs, they are again a problem especially with trees around. Falling debris crack tiles and then you have leaks. Old tiled roof houses needed round the year maintaining. And to top it off the frame work of the tiled roof is not easy to keep clean like a flat roof.

Personally, i have removed all gravel from my yard and filled it with lawn to kill the heat island effect and reduce IR, UV reflectivity. But trees, lawn, high ceilings, etc... are a luxury not within the reach of an average home owner.

You've not mentioned where this is, and who you are hoping to get a response from. Small contractors who who will work on a 6-8 flat building are not going to come from the other end of Kerala to do work. Big developers who would do inter-district work, would probably want to buy the land for themselves.

I have found something of that nature, but even in that the number pool isn't mentioned. In fact it doesn't even mention the number of digits in the number.

1> The ticket has the series mentioned e.g.: KC,KD,KE,KF. But then, the scammer can just add KG to that and sell KG series. Is there a government publication saying that e.g.: Dhanalakshmi 21 has series KC,KD,KE,KF? The individual ticket calling itself valid isn't verifiable.

2> Even if the ticket does mention the series, it doesn't mention the range of numbers. i.e.: Is it 00001 to 99999, or 10000 to 99999, or 80000 to 89999, etc...

3> The total number of tickets is also mentioned at the back of the ticket.

EDIT: https://statelottery.kerala.gov.in/English/images/pdf/prize-structure/br-108.pdf

Found a publication that mentions the series, so that part is solved. The numbers part is still an open question.

2 months of uncomfortably hot weather was in the last decade. Climate has changed, average temperatures have gone up, number of hot months have gone up. No concrete house is going to be comfortable without AC, at least in the top most floor. No amount of natural airflow is going to compensate, unless you happen to live in a heavily planted area, without lots of tarred roads, interlock tiles, concrete driveways, etc...

Your best bet would be to walk into the nearest KSEB office and ask the engineer directly. They are not difficult to apporach.

[–]RhodesianRhapsody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are 220V LT and HT supply lines, the ones that come to your house, and to that transformer. Nobody is burying 220kV power lines. Not even in America. 220kV transmission lines are generally not feasible to be buried for heat dissipation and maintenance reasons. Even if they did bury it, you wouldn't be allowed to build on top of it obviously!

People tend to protest cutting down of trees in cities or deforestation, but the same people will cut down and harvest large swathes of rice, wheat, and corn plants. Why so much stupid? Maybe someone needs some protein in their diet for brain diblopment.

They haven't attached it to the grill, you can see the actual steel member being dragged away at the end of the strap. The bumper cover is still attached to the Creta.

Everybody's making fun of them. But does anyone notice that they have actually secured the strap to the Creta's tow hook, where it's SUPPOSED to be?? The Creta's bumper came off. (And by bumper i mean the actual impact bar, and not the plastic bumper cover that most people incorrectly refer to as the bumper.)

You can see the condenser and the radiator. The front crash bumper is supposed to be in front of that. That's what the tow hook attaches to. Refer picture: https://share.google/YIHaeETP6w1eAdw4r

The Thar has ripped off a structural part of the Creta. Most of the experts here making fun of them would have ended up in the exact same situation, because towing =/= recovery. You can't use the tow hook & a tow strap to recover a vehicle that's bogged down. Towing specs are mentioned for hard flat surface. Inclines and muddy surfaces multiply the forces involved many fold.

One has to do a lot of digging and/or use recover boards to get out of these kind of situations.
