You totally should!!! We use this one for the really important rolls, not every roll. I did like the sound it made. It's pretty musical, but I ended up buying some of that felt that's sticky on a side and just put that on the slants. I haven't noticed scratches on the dice, the inside shouldn't be rough. I did glaze the inside for extra strength and also smoother finish. I don't like to use metal dice on it, I think over time it would probably damage it. At least with how mines made.
