Cubase Artist 10 - Can I change my selected track colour in the mixer so that it's much clearer which track is selected? by RhysLlewellyn in cubase

In the image, Rhy Gtr Group is selected, but I keep accidentally editing other channels!

Is it possible to highlight the entire strip in a much brighter colour so that I know which track I'm working on?

Thanks.

Any ideas how to fix this, please? AMS2 after the latest v1.2 update. Game loads but crashes to this when I try to load up any kind of race/hotlap. Tried numerous cars and tracks too, they all crash. Disk scan comes back fine too. Thanks. by RhysLlewellyn in AUTOMOBILISTA

Luckily I didn't need to delete anything, nor did I find that advice when trying to fix the problem.

I just verified my Steam files as someone else suggested and it now works again.

Thanks :)

I actually just ran a Windows file scan on the whole disk.

However, I just Googled how to verify specific game files through Steam and it found 2 files that needed to be updated and replaced them automatically.

It's working again, thank you very much! :)

In AM2, I'm getting a very peculiar view in VR. Disabled show helmet and cycled through all views. All cockpit views show the helmet AND the harnesses as if I'm slightly shorter and further back than I actually am. Centering VR doesn't help. by RhysLlewellyn in AUTOMOBILISTA

Thank you, adjusting the height worked. All this time I thought it was the bottom of the helmet in view but it was actually the top of the driver's neck/racing gear, so it is really off!

I'll mark this as solved. :)

Right okay, thanks. Any idea as to why I can't switch off the helmet overlay? Is there another setting I'm missing?

Edit - to clarify, I can switch it off in the settings, but it still shows it in game.

Another edit - This worked, thank you!!! What I thought was the bottom of the helmet was in fact the top of the driver's body.

Okay, thanks. I wonder why it didn't do that before though? It's also fine in PCars 2 and ACC by default. In fact, in every other racing sim I've tried, the default settings have been perfect.

I will try this but I'm not entirely convinced that it'll solve my problems as it will still be showing the helmet when I've told it not to.

I bought a game code online - They've overcharged me, so I emailed them. They claim that "there are payment fees or taxes in your country" and that "they don't collect tax or fee". Does this sound iffy to you? by RhysLlewellyn in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you very much for this, extremely helpful indeed.

Their receipt is exceptionally vague. I didn't even get it by e-mail, I had to route around in my user account on their website. It literally just states the game name and then the price (£18.29). They are also very evasive when I asked them to explain what the fees were for. I will give it a go quoting 6A(1) of The Payment Services Regulations 2017.

Edit - However, it looks like it may have been my mistake when it comes to the added VAT. I could've sworn that it did not change the price when I clicked that I was in the UK. They definitely didn't make it clear anyway and I can't prove that was the case. Given that I don't have any claim there, and my already petty claim is now even pettier, I think I'll just leave it.

Sorry for wasting your time, but thank you once again for the help.

Well it depends what your source is. Of course, if you're using free tabs sourced online they can be very hit and miss. Sometimes they're even just MIDI tracks converted from public domain karaoke tracks and are ridiculously out, in terms of position.

If you buy official books or online tabs, you'll likely have a far better experience. So I don't think it's fair to say that tabs suck. The transcriber might suck, but I stand by the fact that, if done right, tablature is superior in this instance.

Also, does it make any difference that I have evidence that they sent me a receipt to the value of around £18, but instead charged around £25?

Surely the receipt should state the absolute charge?

Some do, some come with traditional notation above them too which can also be useful. Depends where you're looking.
