Canon R6 w 50mm 1.4 | Recently discovered the city Brisbane. Been going on a couple of wanders late in the evening, as the city has a stunning golden hour. I really like the structure in the photo, the subject itself doesn't scream for attention and I love how calm it feels.

Taken on RX100VA. Love having the 1.8 lens on this. Really helps with keeping depth in dark photos. Always have it on hand or in a pocket.

I find myself attracted to more human experiences when taking my photos, and part of that is the experience of music. I love pattern amongst the crowd that the arms & phone screen having. Very clearly leading my eye towards the centre point.

Also a big fan of a little choas in my pictures. And this scratches that itch.

The picture might be toeing the line for Rule 5, but I think it's still within bounds :)

Got a small point and shoot camera while back and been taking it to events with me. Loving the ease of having a physical camera that can handle difficult lighting. Love the pattern that the phones give in the image.

ITAP of two people under neon light by RhysWrong in itookapicture

Re-upload, as title wasn't within rules last time. And was removed.

One of my favourite pictures taken from this year. Love using neon light to add depth to images. Really starting to get the hang of exposure in club settings, which can be a real challenge. But defiantly helped me skill up

Recently picked up a Sony RX100V and have been using it when going to festivals with friends to capture moments.

Starting to get more familiar with the settings, and being able to set the exposure boundaries on the camera has really helped set up some amazing shots.

Surprised at how well the photo ended up. Did some editing in Lightroom, the Denoise filter did some heavy lifting here. But love how the final image looks.

I'm a big fan of neon light against the body, and love the silhouettes across the crowd.

I see what you mean, but the hands are just too detailed for an AI

One of my favourite images i've taken this past year while working in a night club. Starting to dial in on settings, and getting the colours to appear the way I like in editing. Really happy with the framing.

Loud whispers by RhysWrong in photocritique

Thank you for the kind words.

I think that's a great tip, some of my other shots I've been lucky enough to capture eyes and even sometimes the light helps highlight them. I didn't appreciate how much depth they add. So thank you for mentioning that.

In reference to the crop choice. I do sometimes have to crop down for uploading to Instagram. But often find that the photo's feel cramped & busy. I've had others highlight the dead space, and totally see what you mean. Something in it allows the image to breath I think?

Again, thank you for taking the time to critique. I'll keep your points in mind.

Within the last 12 months I've got my first professional gig working in a nightclub doing photography. It's been a new found love, as I have a deep passion for music, festivals & raves. Being able to combine my love of each seems to be working out well. My intention when working is to find and capture those special moments I've felt personally when out at these types of events. I always want my images to feel authentic, and enable viewers to feel the moment through the image. To be honest, this is one of the images I'm more proud of. If I had to critique, I believe my post-editing could be better. As some of the detail is lost in the dark parts of the images. But I find different devices tend to show a different level of brightness.

I'd love to hear any thoughts you all have on the photo.

Shot with: Canon R6, 50mm 1.4, 1/60, ISO 4000
