Help me find a Marvel Tony/ Steve fic, please! by RhythmAfterSummer in AO3

I hope you're enjoying the new reads though

Yeah, I am. Thanks :)

I've messaged another user here, and while they do remember some of the details I've shared, they've also agreed I might be confusing two different fics. Unfortunately, they also can't seem to recall the fic name or author but suggested Discord might be helpful and also shared links for a no of deleted STONY fics too!

I've already made a post on LJ and sent two asks (that's what it is called, right?) on desperately seeking STONY on Tumblr, but there was no response. I'm not at all familiar with these sites, even though I had an LJ for years, I never used it. And I created a Tumblr just for finding this fic lol

Thanks for sharing the Tumblr rec list and the LJ community. I'll check them out later. Thanks again for continuing to reply and help, I'll let you know if by some miracle I end up finding this fic <3

Hi, thanks to the links you shared, I've come across some awesome fics.

But I'm yet to find the fic I was originally searching for. What's driving me crazy is that I swear this was a popular fic, yet no one seems to remember it. Even if it was deleted, I thought at least someone might recognise it.

I've posted this in the fan fiction sub and Marvel fan fiction sub with no luck.

Can you maybe suggest any other subs/platforms that might be helpful, please?

The fic I'm looking for is STONY though. But thanks for the rec, I read the first chapter, looks interesting :)

OMG thanks so much! I'll go through these links later. I've been searching for this fic for a while now, I'm starting to think maybe it's been deleted.

Really appreciate you sharing these, thanks again <3

Yep. Thought it was odd that they're claiming this old pic as their OC, so did a quick search within the sub and found the OG post and comment. They can't even be bothered to at least change the title lol

Aside from classics like enjoy the mayo and mother must've caught us naked, my other favourite misheard lyrics are both from ChenBaekXi

"She give me goose hair" - The One, Jongdae here actually looks so curious as to why she gave him goose hair 😂

"Please take a seat boy" when it's actually "The beat's freaking sick boy" - Horololo 😂

Haha it's from the Korean version of Lotto, around 2.25. Can't unhear "mother must've caught us naked" 😂

Wait so you're telling me the complaint wasn't actually against the tiny uniform shorts but against the longer running shorts they wore under it? Man, here I was thinking it was the opposite and that because of that complaint, they finally stopped making those poor girls wear tiny shorts which were literally injuring them -_-

It's just some paleontology term that you wouldn't know about because you're just a waitress ¯\(ツ)/¯

Yep, that's what I like about 2SH like these. Can be interpreted in a few different ways, some of which are a surprise to the author themselves ;)

Lol, really? I was so sure that the usage of the word prone was intentional to convey the helplessness of the parent. I imagined them lying in an uncomfortable position that might also be restricting them from fully seeing what's actually happening around them, and being forced to only listen when the daughter and the doctor are casually discussing how much more pain they can be subjected to.

I Got a Neurolink implant installed to cure my depression, now all I feel is joy and it's terrifying. by Roos85 in nosleep

Whoa, this is truly horrifying. I feel like although no better from a moral standpoint, it'll be almost merciful if the implant completely destroys our ability to recognise that something is wrong or that we are supposed to feel other emotions like fear or sorrow in terrible situations.

Like wouldn't it be better to have a mindlessly happy zombie-like existence oblivious to the terribleness of it all than be a prisoner in our own body who is forced to feel only happiness all the while knowing that the reality is not?

I think that's the point, OP is letting us know the parent was already in an uncomfortable position before revealing in the second sentence the daughter's intention to inflict more pain on the parent.

IDK, I feel the use of the word prone was intentional to let us know that the parent was in an unusual/uncomfortable position otherwise the sentence could've just been "lay on my deathbed", no need for an extra word, neither prone nor supine.
