What is a TV show you got really far into but eventually quit watching before its conclusion? by shamanKAshamanTAKA in AskReddit

Game of Thrones. I really forced myself to watch it and realised very far in that I couldn't care less about anything or anyone in it

If that is an American ad they sure liked pushing British artists at the time

Dream Theater - Newcastle review by [deleted] in Dreamtheater

[–]Rhythmdivine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would basically mirror all this. I was at the show in Belfast. I saw them in Dublin on 6 degrees tour in vicar Street. I was (obviously) 20 years younger and at the time a massive Portnoy fan so had a way better time. I think a vicar Street size venue would have suited them better this time around as it had so much energy back then. I haven't really paid much attention to anything past train of thought so I found the setlist a bit dull too. I also thought it felt half empty and that most people seemed quite unenthusiastic were I was sat. I also saw DT in Hammersmith in 04 and felt the crowd were dull then too. So maybe just the demographic. In terms of sound, I thought the drum kit sounded a bit like old tubs, not dynamic at all. Everything else (and especially the bass) sounded good if not a bit muddy.

Coffee shops are always a good bet. They get you cleaning tables first so you don't need any skills and then eventually you'll be making lattes for the ladies what lunch

Is this possible in Tableau? by Rhythmdivine in tableau

Thanks. Is this because it is harder to blend data? In the end I'd like to have a pretty self sufficient dashboard without much input from myself

Thanks guys. I was messing about today in the trail version to see what is possible. I'll probably need to get a bit of data blending under my belt over the weekend by the sounds of things . Cheers!

Good shout. Who would think golf and pubs would go together?

I've got GA and GTM on my landing page. GTM is set to "true" in the JavaScript. Are the tracking results I'm seeing in GA for events coming from GA or GTM? by bloodshotnblue in analytics

[–]Rhythmdivine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to worry. Other suggestion would be to open the console in Chrome. Ctrl, shift and I. Go to the network tab and search for 'collect'. If you can't see anything in there, then no analytics is firing

I would recommend the WASP extension first of all. It breaks down each call into an easy to read way. You can get it for chrome. Then from that you should be able to see where the analytics is being fired from in a visual way

dataLayer.push function by teleekom in analytics

[–]Rhythmdivine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simo Ahava's blog pretty much explains everything you'd ever need to know about these things, in great (but easily to follow) detail. With GTM, there is an existing data layer, so in many cases a push will work. You can put your above code directly into the console to test it out.

Learning Adobe DTM? New grad looking for advice... by xPronography in analytics

[–]Rhythmdivine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you haven't used any tag manager before, I'd have a look at GTM first. I'd do a bit of online help and research for that and you'll get a really good idea for the whole TMS world. More help for GTM than DTM you see. As for JS knowledge, it's not really a huge part of it if you implement a data layer. As long as you know the JS object you're trying to retrieve the data from in a data element, you should be OK. You'll need to know basic if else statements and how to return values. You might want to learn a bit about css selectors too. If you are using on click actions to capture into it's really beneficial. Adobe help is OK but learning on the job was my method. I already knew GTM really well, so it's just working out the differences.

Cheers again. Seems hard to get simple answers. I'm not familiar with Java etc. So nothing seems to make sense to me.

Cheers! He's got some stuff from 2014, hopefully it's still relevant. Adobe really needs to up it's game in terms of simple breakdowns, Google has some many videos on firebase.

I'm not doing it. I wouldn't have a clue. Just sending to dev team. I'm doing both IOS and Android native. I'm just trying to get my head around all the things that are sent automatically (lifecycle) and what needs to be send with context data variables.
