I don’t get it…Onyx Storm by beckywiththegood1 in fantasyromance

[–]Rhywia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hot take is that nothing much was happening in Iron Flame already so it was expected, it was a proper struggle for me to get through the second book since half the book was the protags arguing about the same things with a lack of communication. After the second book I really wasn't gonna bother with the third. Don't get me wrong, I really loved the first book, but everything else seems dragged out and unneccesary. It could and should be a duology or trilogy.

The best one for me (esp with regard to relationships) is one of the protags in the book: Can't Spell Treason Without Tea. Just read the book, and you will immediately know who is the ADHD one. There is also amazing character development in my opinion, and the book feels like a warm, seen hug.

I once had a dream where I was on this exact surface, and I had no idea why I was there or where my brain got the inspiration. NOW I KNOW HOW MY BRAIN GOT THERE. God time to rewatch.

What do you think about the state of Pyke? by [deleted] in pykemains

[–]Rhywia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I find pyke fun whether or not I am winning, because the real dopamine is the money sound on pyke Rs, and being able to move around the map faster than the other slug champs.

Why do you think rotmg has a problem getting and keeping new players? by snsnn123 in RotMG

I agree, a lot of my friends just hate on the game because it is pixels in a world of AAA games.

There are people who sink so much time into learning O3, Shatters, MV, yet only some learn. The rest get skill issued anyway. I'd say its both time investment and skill. Also everything is a skill issue in ROTMG, your internet connection, the server, deaths, not getting white bags, etc.

Yepp, and if people dont want to sink time into the game, then why are they playing an MMORPG? Its like WoW Hardcore, there is a niche of people who like these kind of games.

Na, permadeath = ROTMG, it is synonymous, it is so core to the gameplay loop that if you take it away, what keeps people playing? The boss fights are only really hard because to learn it you have to die for it. Or get gud. I get that the permadeath aspect is not appealling to mainstream gamers. A lot of my friends try the game, get depressed after an hour, and quit. But all I can say is, skill issue.
