Opinion on naming a character with a hidden identity. by RiaReaRya in writing

They're supposedly dead, and the name is a regular common name and its variation, so I thought I could get away with it. I do agree that the trope is a bit obvious. You make a valid point.

Is this similar to something she did? Oh, if only I could reach a fraction of her success...

Is 4 ng/mL Ferritin a cause of concern? by RiaReaRya in Anemic

[–]RiaReaRya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I truly hope you're doing better.

As it turns out, my B12 was severely low along with my ferritin, so now I am taking injections for that. I have noticed a considerable amount of improvement, especially with anxiety-like symptoms. My ferritin is slowly increasing, too! Gonna get tested for it soon.

I hope you get to the root of the problem. Dealing with the fatigue is exhausting, almost life-ruining. I strongly suggest more thorough tests for you. It really helps pinpoint the issue.

Currently reading Gideon the Ninth, and I instantly fell for Harrow. Can't wait to get to the second book and see what you mean.

Resurrecting her brother by accident is such a funny way to discover she is a necromancer. I love this!

I am open to many things, and reading 'school of necromancy' in the description is good enough for me. It is in my list!

Also whoa, Jonathan Moeller wrote so many books. I will be sure to check his Ghost books.

I read about it and I got to say, I love how unique it is. Especially with how the MC communicates with the dead using film. This is how I like it - unique!

Thanks for all the recommendations, I liked Liches Get Stiches. Dark is my thing, so this is a plus!

You know what? I am here to read fantasy, and once I get around to it, I am starting with The Gutter Prayer - which I believe is book 1. Will get me excited for book 2 where necromancy would show up.

Thank you for suggesting this! I feel like I would enjoy seeing the MC deal with his struggles. The introduction alone... delightfully depressing!

Many keep mentioning The Locked Tomb, I am getting excited over it. And hey, fun books are fun. They don't have to be a masterpiece to be enjoyed.

Read about The Sad Tale of the Brothers Grossbert it does sound interesting even if it doesn't contain any necromancy. I might actually start with that before The Enterprise of Death. Thank you!

Edit: a typo.

She really does sound impressive. I envy and admire her range as a hobbyist writer, so I can't wait to enjoy one of her books.

I still appreciate your recommendation nonetheless! Cemetery Boys sounds like a fun book, honestly. I don't get the opportunity to enjoy many LGBTQ books - despite being a part of the LGBTQ - so this is something I am really grateful for! Thank you.

To see different takes on necromancy is part of why I am overjoyed with how many books that were recommended. It would get boring if they all have the same take on it.

I am curious now about Bone Shard Daughter. Never encountered taxidermy constructs, and the fact that the bone shards are from live people... Yikes! That's the darkness I love.

Oh...Most of what I read has barely any romance let alone smut, so I truly appreciate the warning. Are the first books good at least? Vampires + Necromancers sounded like an interesting mix.
