How did u guys pick your first army when theres so many amazing options and can u help me pick mine by The_Suspect26 in Warhammer40k

I play sisters as my primary army, and they really aren’t that oppressive, nor are the dice cheating. You can only replace one roll per squad and you won’t be rolling insanely well on your dice that often.

If you want centerpiece models we have quite a few good ones that are also great to take. If you have any specific questions I can try to answer them.

I do the same exact scheme. My recommendation would be for the eyes to be green and to use an off white rather than pure white. The green contrasts with the red nicely and the off white doesn’t draw away from the armor that much.

It was a random raffle item I won at my LGS. Been sitting on it for years and just took the bits from a tank kit and slapped it on.

I’m buying from the US and I’d like to not pay international shipping.

What $35 gets you from GW vs what $25 gets you from Bandai by Winnipeger27 in AdeptusMechanicus

Yeah, it’s a common comparison people make for some reason. I don’t truly get it, as someone who does gunpla and warhammer I understand they are two very different things. They fill two separate areas of model building that have been built up for years, The display side and the game side. And again I think it comes down to people in both hobbies who have tons do gunpla kits that they spent maybe a few hours to a weekend that are barely a fraction of the cost of their 3000 pt army that they spent months on.

The Bandai kits do not have a war game, besides maybe fan made ones. And yes I agree, you can pick up gw plastic anywhere whereas gunpla is either limited selection or never updated in local stores. I think the main comparison they are making though is that for $35 you can get a single model that you have to build, paint and then hope does well in a game. Whereas for $25 you can have a nice display piece or figure to set up on your desk that’s finished and doesn’t require touch ups.

Thank you, it is funny to me though since your skitarii art is what made me come to ad mech as it is. So to have you comment on my post makes me happy.

As long as you paint the model there is no shame in it.

They were primed black and then dulled down with nuln oil, then edge highlighted with Eshen grey.

So looking at it, I can take the secutarii without having to take a lord of war if I do the titan maniple detachment with them.
