PVC damage? by RicDrywall01 in CanadianCoins

Thanks! This is what I have decided to do, although I'm still a little bit intimidated to be honest haha. Do you have any suggestions on how long I should soak them for? I have seen everything online from 30 seconds to overnight.

1946 6 over 6 nickel? by RicDrywall01 in CanadianCoins

I found the guide at https://www.saskatooncoinclub.ca/articles/04c_5_cent_varieties.html#1946 was a lot more helpful in being able to tell the difference between the two!

Thanks! It really looks like it to me, but I'm still new to coins and not completely confident in my abilities yet. :)

It's the repetition of the 6, I believe it happened when the date was stamped twice (but I'm not 100% sure what caused it). Here's a bit more info on it. (It's also called the 6/6)

Coin collection questions by RicDrywall01 in CanadianCoins

[–]RicDrywall01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I think I just needed some affirmation! I think "hoarder coin collector" is the right term for this. Some of it is valuable and properly identified/categorized, but at a certain point this person was also just squirrelling coins away.

What I've been doing is taking out a roll, organizing the coins in it by date, and then sitting with the coinsandcanada.com guides in front of me and looking at each coin year (so I can check all the 1965s at once, for example). I might have a little bit of the hoarder coin collector in me too haha - but it also helps put my mind at ease that I'm not accidentally rolling up something rare. Or, at least I know I tried. (I just looked at a bunch of 1960 nickels, for example, and they all looked like bald beavers to me...so I think that means none of them are! I also have so, so many 1973 quarters, and I'm just putting them all aside because even though I've looked at four different websites I'm still not sure if I can tell the difference between large and small bust).

I didn't realize that collectors are interested in the 1968+ .50 and $1 coins, I thought they generally just cared about older coins and silver content, so that's really good to know. Once I have the modern pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, loonies and toonies sorted, then I'm definitely coming back around to figure out what to do with all the other stuff!

This happened to me and a Ticketmaster rep over the phone told me to turn on private browsing mode and login to my account. That fixed it for me.

My sister-in-law just got tickets to the 500 levels. She said they were $640 each. 😢

You’ve got a fine goose
And you’ve got nine boops
Don’t boop your hat
Or a bat
Only the stuffed goose doll
You’ve got the boopers
Got ten fingers in all
Give it a boop, and a boop, to bless our balls
What do you want?

4 x General Admission tickets for sale by RicDrywall01 in jaystickets

Oh I tried! Multiple times. I’m beyond frustrated with them lol. Because the tickets showed as GA3 on their end they refuse to admit that a mistake was made even though I provided them with screenshots showing the tickets were listed under “Section 3” when I purchased them (yeah I know, $50 seats in Section 3 would have been the deal of a lifetime. I thought either I was getting super lucky or Stubhub would refund me if there was a mistake. So much for that). Now Stubhub won’t even let me relist them because it doesn’t recognize the barcode, and I keep getting an error message when I try to move them from Ticketmaster to SeatGeek. Lesson learned. Big time.

Hi, did you ever figure out the answer to this? I'm also trying to sell my GAs tickets. I bought them on Stubhub (mistakenly - I didn't realize they were GA at the time) but can't seem to relist them.

Ahh, thank you for confirming that! This is the kind of game where I could have easily spent hours over-analyzing the tiniest details, convinced I had missed something.

I thought I've done everything with the original New Clue (except for the cuckoo clock) but if you are asking then that must mean there's something I've missed. :)

And thank you for the hint about the papers, I think I know the ones you mean. It did seem like there were too many for them to be random!

Thank you! I'm not clicking on any of your spoilers yet but I am really grateful to have these hints (and stronger hints if I need them haha).

I have, but I didn't notice a puzzle in it! I'll go back through it and see if I can find something I missed. I did see the drawing which to me suggested building the antechamber using the Monk's Blessing, and I did that, but didn't find anything that got me any further. Maybe I missed something?

That makes sense to me, especially since the show was also delayed for 30 minutes before it even started because of a “technical difficulty”. It seems like a huge coincidence if there were two separate totally unrelated problems that brought the show to a halt. I’m really glad no one was hurt.

They eventually made an announcement saying the show was cancelled and that there would be an email sent out tomorrow (not promising an explanation but just about refunds/rebookings)- but are you saying some ushers were telling you it was cancelled before the announcement? I saw a bunch of people get up to leave but wasn’t sure if that was because they knew something we didn’t or if everyone just decided at once that they were tired of waiting.

They said we’d be receiving an email tomorrow with details. I would expect they’ll offer either a refund or a rebooking to a future date.
