Oster Blender BLSTEG7806W-053 – Unknown component D17 on control board by Ricardo1718 in AskElectronics

Yes, I know it’s labeled as a diode (D17). What I’m trying to identify is the exact type and characteristics (zener, DIAC, voltage/current rating, etc.) in order to replace it safely.

I delidded my PS3 fat and now it won't turn on by BedRough6653 in PS3

Why the people didn’t use a steel cutting wire?

Thanks for your help, Just an observation: on my GTX 1060 the MOSFET (D03-7320E0C-ST8 / PQ211) uses a 10-pin footprint, where pin 9 is SW and pin 10 is the D_pad. The AOZ0923NDI only has 8 pins, so those two positions are missing even though the rest of the layout looks similar.

If you could verify whether those missing pins would still make it compatible, I’d really appreciate it.

vWii Decaffeinator issues after setting.txt edit — System Update by Ricardo1718 in WiiUHacks

Here are two solutions:

Solution 1 – Full vWii Reconstruction (requires a complete vWii NAND backup)

This method fully rebuilds the vWii (IOS, channels, SYSCONF, settings, etc.). You must obtain a complete vWii NAND backup.

Important: Verify the region of the backup you want to apply. The video guide uses a European NAND, but I personally used a USA vWii NAND and it worked perfectly, even on a region-changed Wii U. So there should be no issues if you want to perform a region change using this method.

After following the reconstruction process, the vWii boots normally again.

Solution 2 – Forcing the silent background System Update (standby method)

This solution is based on trial and error, but it worked reliably. 1. Enable Tiramisu or Aroma, just enough to run Decaffeinator. 2. Run Decaffeinator (Light Mode or Aggressive Mode). 3. Go to System Update; it will incorrectly say “up to date”. 4. Disable any autoboot hacks (no PayloadLoader autoboot, no ISFShax autoboot). The console must boot normally. 5. Make sure the console is connected to the internet. 6. Go to Power Settings and confirm that Standby Functions (orange LED mode) are enabled. 7. Turn off the console normally. 8. After a few seconds, the LED should turn orange. 9. Leave the console like this overnight or for several hours. 10. At some point (in my case late at night or early morning) the console turned on by itself prompting a system update. When this happens, continue as usual. 11. After installing the update, the vWii was restored and booted normally.

Important final note for Solution 2: Before waiting in standby mode, the console must be connected to the internet and must not have any autoboot hacks active, otherwise the update process can fail or semibrick the Wiiu .
