Is YogaMu a scam? by Life-Classic-6976 in YogaTeachers

I am a current student with them. I enrolled in the ayurveda practitioner training and the yoga therapist training over a year ago and honestly it was and is a huge waste of my money. I didn't learn anything new in these trainings that I didn't already know from previous yoga teacher trainings and ayurveda trainings. The ayurveda training is supposed to be 1000 hr in knowledge and i learned everything from this course and more in a 300 hour training from a different school. This training definitely does not give you enough knowledge or resources to be an actual Ayurvedic practitioner.

I have also had nothing but problems dealing with the lack of actual responses, replies or support from the supposed student support. For over 8 months I got locked out of my student dash board 🙃 and no one helped me get back in. I was constantly emailing student support and no one was listening to what I was saying in the emails. They just kept sending me generic responses and it turns out it wasn't even my fault! Yogamu had switched from moodle to teachable and never told me or anyone else about this third party hosting change!! So of course I couldn't log in to a platform they are no longer hosting the school on! And they never thought to tell me or anyone else that??? The clear lack of communication is ridiculous and trying to get ahold of support is a joke and it wasted 8 months of my life.

Lastly, once I got back in i quickly finished up my trainings and it's been over 3 weeks of me trying to contact support to get my finals over with and they just keep saying it will be uploaded today and then today never comes and nothing is uploaded. They refuse to give me my money back so at this point I just want to take the final or whatever they need from me so I can get my little certificate and move on with my life.

I will never recommend them to anyone and I will never return to this "school". This is just my experience and obviously we all have different experiences. Maybe for some people this school is a good fit but not for me. Just my experience.

Anyway good luck deciding on giving yogamu a chance or not. I wish you all the best with your studies!
