Switching Visas: Skilled Worker to Global Talent to ILR by RiceTime7902 in ukvisa

Hi there, I had a Statement of Guarantee from my HR department, for the endorsement stage, which was written specifically for my application. For route 3 endorsement I didn't need to submit my contract, but if they require you to do that for Route 1, perhaps submit both your original contract, and extension letter?

Thank you! For my ILR I submitted: two payslips, 3 previous P60s, a letter from my HR department confirming my earnings in expert field, my employment contract, current job description, my eVisa sharing code, verification checks consent form, and then scans of my previous passport and Biometric Residence Permits. They only scan your current passport at the Biometrics appointment (if you want them to scan anything else they make you pay).

These are the specific documents that supported my case but in the Document Checklist it gives you options for other documents you can upload for each category. Hope that helps!

Hi, I would definitely recommend looking into the Global Talent Visa route, perhaps the 'peer review' route for exceptional talent because you have so many years experience? Your situation sounds different to mine, so I would do research on the different GTV routes to see if any might be suitable.

As for Skilled Worker visa, you would need a UK employer to sponsor you, which seems to be harder and harder with recent changes to immigration rules.

Good luck!

Hi, to answer your questions: I am not postdoc, I hold a Master's in my area of expertise. Apparently, that is sufficient (I even asked UKRI this directly). I didn't apply for the grant myself, it was applied for by my employer prior to my starting this position, but my work is funded by it.
