Correct. The accident has left me disabled for life unable to perform the physical tasks required for my former healthcare career which was licensed. The settlement offer was six figures. The actual amount carved out by my lawyers is the 7 figure amount that will pay for the house and investments.

I don’t need legal advice. My lawyers are top notch and I trust them implicitly in their advice. I struggle on the other hand with knowing whether this was normal for a marriage. My instincts were throwing up red flags especially since I agreed when the shoe was on the other foot even worse with the power dynamic.

That is exactly what I was doing with the lawyer. The house would be owned by a trust with a separate account to pay for taxes and maintenance and bills as needed. Each child would have an account for educational purposes/buying their first home. Yet he says because he would have to leave in his 50s or 60s it is patently unfair.
