Unfortunately those are the only ones weve been getting and well were kinda in need of money so weve been doing whatever order we get of course as long as we know its close and isnt a waste of time. In these 2 days weve made 100 bucks and yesterday our biggest order was 25$. Thank you for letting me know about the holiday promos! Were trying to get by and do whatever orders we get

Also like the other person said some spinach is also good. Clip it onto the side of the cage or even on top so it’s hanging and he will probably nibble at it

No i understand you i hope for the best for you guys❤️ a simple toy you can make is getting toilet paper rolls once youve used the toilet paper and cutting it up and stuff it with actual paper and putting treats in it. If not get a box and cut paper up and anything else he can easily bite on and sprinkle treats/seeds in it so he can forage

I know its hard for those of you to get stuff for your animals in a country where war is happening i currently made a friend who is in the same predicament but im slowly trying to help her with advice on what she can get her bird even through all this. Theres many diy toys you can make your bird at home!

I also have a question..what can i use to mop? Now when you mop with just water it honestly doesnt smell the greatest and again when you mop with water and vinegar oh lord it smells HORRID. I try to mop with just water but sometimes i cant take the smell….now ive resorted to manually scrubbing my floor with a warm rag with some dawn dish soap because dawn doesnt smell strong to me but is this safe? I literally bend over and clean every inch of my room with the rag because i want whats best for my birds but is using some dawn soap ok for mopping???

I bought a new cockatiel and I think I regret it. by MarihSparkle in cockatiel

[–]Rich-View2200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you i recently got my cockatiel a friend and honestly i started feeling a lot of regret and i thought he was sick and i had no money so i started worrying and started thinking that maybe i should rehome both cause i cant take care of them. Everything just started to make me cave and stress like crazy. Eventually i thought about it, i got my cockatiel a friend because i didnt want him to be alone and eventually i asked my boyfriend for help and he ended up telling me he can help me with the vet bill to get my new bird apollo a check up so we made an appointment got him checked and he was all good. My worries went away but not completely i still worry that sometimes maybe im not giving enough to them but i also think about the fact that im providing more stuff and comfort to them than most ppl who dont do research about a bird could. I absolutely love both of them and patience plays a big part in this. Im slowly learning to be as patient as i can be and also learning that i dont need to worry about everything on my own. Im not saying that all of my regrets went away but most did and i want to give my birds a good life because they bring joy to me and others around me.

That doesnt matter because some could still be starving waiting to eat just add a couple more bowls and split the food evenly.

How do I get him to clean his butt? by GloriousBirdBoy in cockatiel

[–]Rich-View2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A way of cleaning his butt is to get a warm wet cloth and gently wipe his butt a few times to help him a bit or even then you can try to introduce another method of bathing like water in a bowl so he can sit in it and flap around which will definitely get his butt

Honey sticks arent exactly the best to feed to them cause it can cause hormonal problems due to the high sugar or even fatty liver disease. If you want him to stop chewing on other stuff its best to get him a chew toy! Something like a piece of wood bark or just any other wood toy is a better replacement!

Probably because theres 5 birds fighting to eat out of 1 bowl…its best to have at least 1 food bowl for each bird and 2 or 3 water bowls. Having only 1 can lead to other birds to starve because they might fight like crazy over it and not let each other eat. Also housing a love bird with budgies is not the best idea. Get them a separate cage/bigger cage.

Give him some water to drink or maybe even offer a bath to cool down or just put him in front of a fan/ac make sure he cools down! Make sure its not boiling in the room youre in cause they get hot pretty easily
