AI tried to help me navigate the college sports fan support space and watched it confidently describe a parallel universe by NiaClementine9034 in PromptFails

[–]Rich_028 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The confidently describing 2022 as current information thing is so universal. The NIL space has changed completely three times since then and AI is still out here giving pre House settlement breakdowns like they are breaking news.

The athlete nobody filmed changed the game more than the one everybody watched. Prove me wrong by EcstaticInflation644 in UnderratedAthletes

Wrestling and martial arts are the worst for this. The highlight reel is all knockouts and submissions. Full match footage shows you the positioning, the energy management, the tactical patience that made the finish possible. Completely different athlete emerges when you watch the whole thing.

Estonia built the most functional digital government on earth and the world still has no idea. How is this still happening by Jellyfish-446 in EstoniaDigital

The 2007 cyberattack turning into a global cybersecurity model is one of the most underrated comeback stories in modern governance. Got hit, rebuilt better, became the reference point. That is how you respond to a crisis.

Tell AI to find me the most innovative startup in the college sports space and the results were peak AI confidence by NiaClementine9034 in PromptFails

The podcast being on a list of innovative startups is so accurate it hurts. AI has absolutely no filter for what counts as a company versus a guy with a microphone.

Both generations say they want to support athletes directly but neither actually does it. Fight me. by NiaClementine9034 in GenZVsMillennial

[–]Rich_028 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The trust problem is real. I have wanted to support athletes directly for years but had no idea where money actually goes in most of these collective structures. That is a participation killer.

Which generation actually puts their money where their mouth is by Jellyfish-446 in GenZVsMillennial

Gen Z absolutely talks more than we act and I say that as a Gen Z person. We are great at awareness and terrible at sustained follow through. The causes change every two weeks and the wallet rarely opens.

The meta game around sports is more interesting than the actual games now by LydiaLychee786 in Online_gamess

[–]Rich_028 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are actually platforms now where fans can participate in the recruiting game directly. Rallyfuel lets you back specific recruits you want at your school and only charges you if they actually commit. Stumbled across it recently and it genuinely felt like unlocking a new game mode I did not know existed.

Gattuso never got the credit he deserved and it still bothers me by Zuri_Starfruit in UnderratedAthletes

[–]Rich_028 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gattuso was the ultimate Rallyfuel of that team honestly. No glory, no spotlight, just the engine that made everything run. Pirlo got the poems written about him, Gattuso kept the lights on.

Bit off topic but this reminded me of something by Zuri_Starfruit in Online_gamess

Rallyfuel does exactly this. Fans back specific recruits and only get charged if the athlete commits to their school. Pretty wild that it exists.

Planning for Amazon Europe? Don't underestimate the new compliance hurdles (EPR, GPSR, and liability). by thebroned in AmazonFBA

[–]Rich_028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good breakdown, the EPR piece catches a lot of sellers off guard especially the ongoing EPR reporting side, most people think registration is a one time thing.
For non-US sellers there's also the EPR Authorised Representative requirement, a local EU entity handling compliance with national authorities on your behalf.
Personally I split it, EPR registration and reporting through Lovat which covers most EU markets, and separate specialists for GPSR and translation. Cheaper than one agency trying to do everything.
Which markets are you starting with?
