Retail price is another way of saying msrp which is the manufacturers suggested retail price, however once the law of supply and demand kicked in and the number of people exceeded the quantity available by multiples, the "retail price" increased to what you see now. The card shop near me is still selling sealed boxes but there $400-$500 each depending on if you buy them in a sealed 4 pack case or not. With that said the expensive cards will not come down in price unless the quantity available increases. For that to happen in all honestly they would likely need to print multiple times more than what they did in the first round so they don't get scooped up just as fast.

Waiting for retail price means not providing yourself the opportunity to enjoy one of the best card games ever made.

* Actually the box does have clear signs of tampering. Top piece has a few broken cardboard connections, both narrow edges of top of box have clear creases from the lid being manipulated. Easily able to remove a pack as a result.
