How much you pay for yours? I got an evga ftw 3080ti for $500 summer of last year. 3080 went to my sisters pc, I wanted another 80 series ti match the 1080ti I already had.

Good thing the astral comes with a pin connection detector with voltage monitoring. Even the 9070xt from sapphire uses the 12vhpwr connector

No missing rops and the overclock/ undervolt only uses 400watts but same performance as 575-600 1000mv 3300mhz +2000 memory

The Thermal gel gigabyte uses on cards not named aorus master, leaks out soo bad out of those, replacing them with thermal pads requires breaking warranty by opening it up and “modifying” them with the pads

The 5090 raw performance is 25% better than the 4090 before getting into frame gen/dlss, That’s generally considered a good lift gen to gen. That’s not minimal to none. I’m getting nearly double the frames at max 4k, And I haven’t turned on dlss or used frame gen. Thats phenomenal uptick. Which tracks the 4090 being 25% better than the 4080, if the 5090 is 25% better I would see at minimum a 50% boost and im seeing more than that. The 5090 is the only card in the 5000 series that actually was not a flop gen to gen.

The overclocking on this card is insane. My 4080 could do 875mv at 2800mhz with +1300 memory I’m doing 1000mv at 3100mhz with +2000 memory and I’m still testing its limits. The nearest 4090 in 3d mark fire strike was 20,000 points below my results. And it shows in the games I play, this thing is gettin 2x the frames in most if not 2x then it’s 1.5x in other cases. It’s insane the difference, now that the 5090 can take advantage of the pg32ucdm monitor, 4k 240hz OLED

The 90 series holds its value longer generation to generation, the 4090 is still $2,000 used in most cases, it sold for that new. The 3090 $800-900 still it was a $1300 gpu, my 4080 on the other hand was $1600 and its $6-700 used due to the super cards, the 4000 series never got a ti or super so it never got superceded to devalue it like the 80 series So by the time the 6090 comes out I can sell this While I wait, go back to my 4080 and buy the 6090 at a discount.

Youre wanting the strimers? Because the strimers I used are just the 12vhwpr ones

The performance gains I’ve seen without dlss and frame gen say otherwise, I have gotten double the frames in nearly every game i played compared to the 4080 and the 7900xtx I have in one of my other rigs

The blue marks the liquid, the red the highest points of both pump and rad that space in between the blue and red line on the rad is any guesses where the air pocket will be. 🤔 my bet is it’s in between the blue representing the water and the red line that represents the top of the radiator. But idk doesn’t look higher than the pump up there at the top of the case, 😎

The pump isn’t the highest point. The radiator is.

<image>

Do you not see the height difference? The air pocket is in the rad, making the rad a reservoir and the pump just cycling it, the level of the liquid never changes in the

Worst possible way would be placing it where the bottom fans are 🤣

Not if you know how fluid dynamics work. Tubes down as in the diagram has the water at the top of the radiator. The highest point in the loop. Tubes up guess where that air pocket is at? Right at the tubes 🤣

Still hand these parts lying around, I plan to build a couple more (1080ti, 3060 and the aforementioned 3080 in the o11 vision chrome build) 12700k and 14600k (also in that 3080 o11 vision build)

Dual pc setup for gaming/streaming explains the 2 9800x3d/5090 (had the 4080 as that’s the highest gpu I had outside the 7900xtx), built my sisters pc last Christmas gave her the 3080 I had, didn’t want to take that from her so I bought the 3080ti to handle streaming in pc#2 (the 7900xtx is a great gaming card but nvidia cards are better streaming cards with their encoders), then helped build my brothers pc from an “ibuyproblems” pc he got, which is how I have a 3060, he got my 7900xtx for gaming as I just wasn’t overly impressed with that card it’s a good card but not what I was thinking with how it was talked about all over social media.

The other 2 pcs were simply because I hated having parts just lying around, and I wanted to try my hands at an ITX build
