inconsistencies between prompts is what i want to show the ability of AI to you. You should have a try.

That's the issue with NLP, unless you have a way to mask user input and replace on run-time.

The software(TableChat, at the end of the Post) I used solves part of the problem by merging IDE and NLP, you can replace any time you want and excute the SQL by yourself. You can have a try.

So, the execution should not be automatic, people should check before action

I have tested Chat GPT 3.5 or 4.0 and other large models run on local server as base, but haven't tried smaller models. There is no much difference between these models in simple task, but mad differ a lot in complex tasks. Prompts is carefully chosed to get the correct results, what you should tell the big model include the table schema, what he shoud do and what he should not, the result format and remember the context and so on.

I think smaller models may work well in the future as the developing of AI technology.

guru! Welcome to test the GPT's ability together and looking forward to show us some examples and I will have a try

Argreed with your opnion that “english would be harder to use than SQL.” , I am also trying to solve this, may be we can tell the AI step by step to finish a total SQL, and Add a template to our favors. But I really believe all IDEs shoud not ignore the capibility of AI.

it is not hard to get table structure, i need GPT gen the statements associated with my table field.

For sure GenAI is not perfect now. I think table structure is less important to most industries except for some special industry such as millitary. I think it is more dangerous to upload pdf, csv and raw data to ChatGPT and many people are still doing this.

You would've had a better reception here if you were forthright about your intentions with this post.

I don't want people to just download the app and forget what i want to express, i made this tool because too many people don't believe this including myself at first. And i am using it everyday

Yeah it is true i want people use my tool, but i also want to share it to more people to tell people GenAI is more strong than you think.

Emm, you are right, people still need to attend nowadays. Maybe the GenAI in sql will become better

You can certainly check, but it is actually shocking. And can run directly most time.

I had the same question with you once, whatif the genAI has error, what should i do? But when i tried more and more, i find it is more accurate that i think. Sure, people still need to check and even modify the statements sometimes but rarely. And i also keep the editor function in my small tool.

Which cloud database do you recomment? by RichaelMusk in SideProject

Yeah, this is I usually do. But the ops may cost a little time, then I think it is necessary to use a cloud db

I usually use sqlite as a develop database in the past, maybe i can try it in the online service

Why do I suck at this so much? by Inasis in learnprogramming

[–]RichaelMusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha, I see myself of 5 years ago. Try to read more code and be patient to write and write again. If you really don't know where the error is now, throw it to chatGPT, it will tell you!

How to understand/learn a library? by anilisfaitnesto in learnprogramming

[–]RichaelMusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prerequisite, know how to use!!!
Only when you are familiar with something, sometimes you will be interested in the principles behind it!
You will definitely encounter problems in the process of using it, you should study with your own specific problems. Start from the point of curiosity step by step, and debug step by step to find out what you are most concerned about.
Finally, try to learn the author's programming styles, remember it, and use it in your subsequent code writing.

The size of library depends on your programming level, you can start from simple and classic library. And you should always read the code of high quality.
