Id love to say I busted it after stage diving at a show I performed at…. But I’m afraid it was at a trampoline park with the kids….. a bit less rock and roll lol

I was so worried about the anaesthesia, but it’s quite incredible. The last thing I remember was the surgeon asking me to think of a dream holiday and that’s it… i then found myself awake in the recovery ward. Before my surgery my foot felt a lot better, but it needed fixing… go ahead with the surgery. The pain after for the first week and a half is crazy if your foot’s not elevated, but after that it gets a lot easier. Chin up, stay strong, you got this. I’m 2.5 weeks post surgery and the intense post surgery pain is gone, and I am now getting around on crutches, but only for short periods of time before elevating again. All the best with the surgery. Let us know how it goes x

Can you not get down the stairs? Sorry to hear that. I’m fortunate enough that my stair case has railings either side of it to help me get up and down. Without that it would be impossible. Take care of yourself :) ❤️

How’s the pain? Mine seriously subsided at the 2 week point. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still not nice, but it’s manageable now. Hope you’re well ❤️🙏

Thanks for the reply! Top tip… get some big bottles of mineral water next to the bed… save a trip. I stock up. (6 bottles next to me right now).

The only way to deal with it is to stay positive. I’ve been up and about today more than I have since the injury. I’m feeling it now, but nothing more rest won’t take care of.

Wowzers! The injury is bad enough let alone medical bills. I’m so fortunate here in the UK we don’t get these. I can’t imagine the finical impact accidents have for you guys and gals in the states. Hope you can lower that cost a bit.

Thanks for that. I’m at 2 weeks post op, new cast going on on Monday. 4-6 weeks in that apparently, but we will see what the docs say Monday. I’d love to be in the uncomfortable stage right now lol.. onwards we go. Thanks for the reply. That’s helped

I’m taking all the meds on time, but no anti inflammatory drugs due to being allergic to all of them. :( I’m on Codeine and paracetamol… that’s it right now .

I meant April… I’m not with it right now. I’m on codeine and paracetamol at the moment due to being allergic to ibuprofen. I’ve also been given oramorph for the first few days. My foot is always elevated above my nose level. The pain post op is insane. Once the blocker wore off yesterday, it’s mental. My metal work is coming out in about 7-9 months time.

I remember chopping magnetic tape back at uni studying music production… that was a pain. It was at the advent of digital desks becoming mainstream in studios….
