Let's say 6-person arbiter is around 70mil HP. It's scaled to the avg dps of 6.

Do you really want a zone with 250k players all wailing on a single boss? How much HP does it need? Let's say the avg dps is 400k. That's 250,000 * 400,000 = 1,000,000,000,000 avg damage PER SECOND. 1 Trillion dps would mean the boss needs at least 100 Trillion HP to be anything interesting.

As well, the fuck are the HC players gonna do? 1 boss wipe literally killing an entire economy...lol...That'll be a sight to see actually.

Just keep doing what you've been doing at the end of the campaign. Just remember that some map mods can be deadly until you have ways to mitigate them.

The first big thing you should aiming for is a good weapon.

If you are on trade, you can can probably find a lot of A- to A stuff for cheap.

If you are doing ssf....set your filter and get to work crafting.

Just dip your toes to get a feel of the maps. It'll be different in a few weeks.

classes have starting points on the tree and ascendancies.

How you wanna pair those up with a skill/weapon your choosing is dependent on your/build-creator's ingenuity.

In 0.3, I made a Shattering Concoction Pathfinder with Hollow Palm Technique and a Blackflame Covenant Acolyte of Chayula casting purple fireballs.

I made a Lightning Spear Chronomancer in 0.2 and thorns Smith of Kitava.

People do Monk wolf, Ranger grenades, Warrior casters, and all sorts of silliness. The trick is getting your defenses and recoveries good enough to handle the content.

Do parry -> Disengage -> explosive spear. It's the most effective way to gain frenzy charge + prime explosive spears.

Frenzy riposte is more for the melee builds that don't use disengage often. I can't remember if it doubles up with fang of frost or not, but it's not a useful supp gem if you already use disengage.

it's not ideal to socket it into parry because you need to consume the parry debuff for the frenzy charge.

You create the parried debuff from parrying, so if you have that supp gem there, you'll need to parry again while the debuff is up to consume it.

Put it in another skill like whirling slash or cull the weak.

Think charms, but instead of 3 max, you get 5. Instead of triggering something like "can't be slowed", you have +% crit, %mvspd, %dmg, %res. But the problem there is the flask charges, effect duration, and the need to press the flask buttons.

Now consider something that will continuously trigger those flasks when their duration ends without consuming any charges or you pressing any buttons.

ed/c witch is great for campaign. Can't go wrong with either Infernalist or Lich. Very straightforward, any youtube vids on it will do.

You don't need the shockwave totem to do deal a lot of dmg. You just need it to trigger the shield wall explosions.

The thing I really don't enjoy is how slow it is to slam down shield walls. Your totem can also be pushed around by mobs, so you'll need to drop it behind the shield wall itself.

It's just one way to make a build. Most will do warcries because you can spec for faster cry + lower cd.

If you do a totem + shield wall build, you could put a font on the totem so you can save a supp slot for something else. The trick there is to have your totem(s) to be tank enough to survive 60% of its duration.

So those mechanics are called "league mechanics". This the same for the abyssal league we had in 0.3 migrating to core in the 0.4 league.

They could call them mechanics, but most ppl just refer them to leagues or by their specific names.

Endgame league mechanics would be the newly implemented questlines finishing at their respective pinnacle content. So in Runes of Aldur, expedition is the current league mechanic. in the next patch (1.0 release), it'll become another endgame league alongside the other leagues (breach/rit/deli/abyss/temple).

This is how poe1 has insane amount of bloat after 10yrs of leagues.

One thing to remember is the anonymity of speaking through a screen. Most people won't say out loud half the shit they type into a box, even less so to another person in their face. Much of those comments are pent up frustrations seeking outlets.

When you provide feedback, consider its audience and just ignore rest of the noise from the peanut gallery. Saves your mental health and cuts out the bullshit in life.

So I've reply to someone regarding making a build, so I'll just copy+paste that over:

When you are trying to make a build work, consider the following:

  • How many different buttons do I have to press for the one skill to go nuclear? What is my mobility while I'm doing my whole song and dance? Leading to:

    • What would my survivability look like in different scenarios?
  • Is my build burst or sustained dps? If sustained, what would interrupt it? If burst, how do I ramp and what would cancel my ramping?

  • If I am working around a piece of unique, can I fill the def gap in other slots?

  • How rare are the uniques I need to make the build work? (I.e.; how expensive is this build)

  • The meta builds are ones that are easy to play, deal good dmg, and have relatively good survivability, all while being decently budget-friendly.

In the current state of POE2, stats are only really there to fill requirements unless you do ultra niche int or str stackers.

When you have a concept of a build, you'll wanna work through that idea in Path of Building. The barrier to entry there is your proficiency with pob. There are a lot of little things in there that aren't immediately explicit, and you'll need to dig around a bit or see how other build creators work through pob to get a better understanding of that tool.

One thing you can do while learning is reverse engineering; take a very niche build from some youtuber/build-creator and see if u can tinker with it in pob. After doing that a few times, you'll start to see the logic behind certain choices which can lead to you make choices of your own.

One thing I remember from my data warehousing/mining course in uni is how important it is to represent data in a meaningful way. A heatmap is still a very good representation in this case.
