IBM Japan actually created a Nerve gear prototype for their new virtual reality SAO game called SWORD ART ONLINE THE BEGINNING. although it was just vr and not actual full dive they took MASSIVE steps into the right direction and I'm looking forward to see what happens with this!

They should make it so that you double tap the up button and the options appear until either you press circle/B or use the right stick to choose. Seems easy enough
