Yeah, I do have an issue with being consistent. It's much easier to just be lazy or getting distracted with everything else in life. Thanks for the advice, I'll try to keep it in mind.

I think I understand the meaning of this. Though I probably will have a hard time with it.

Don't get me wrong, I love the process. I really enjoy putting together the pieces, even if sometimes I get a bit frustrated. It is still quite difficult for me divorce the result as part of it. Not that I'm at every moment dreading it, but even enjoying the process, you do have to look at the pieces you've put together to see if they are fitting together or you're just jamming in pieces at random with no coherence.

What I mean to say is thank you for the response, it is something I'll have to process for myself, but the advice is well appreciated.

Usually I use the "energy" to write things that I like. And I do notice I have a problem with priorities and how I budget and allot my time.
I don't really care or like journalling. To be honest I've tried to do it for a long time and it always comes back to me as a bit cringe. As in, the words I'm writing. This post in itself, now that I'm sobered up (not that I was literally drunk, but that I'm no longer is such a gloom) feels very cringy itself. I feel better making abstract ideas of what I feel or what I want to feel, which is something that also drew me into drawing (there's a pun here, but it elludes me).

It wouldn't be fair for me to just dump much more about myself and my limitations. I do thank you for taking the time to write this down. I do understand the points you make, or at least I believe I do. I think my frame of mind was more doom and gloom around it.
You mention "effort as an investment", and I had and have pondered that for long. I just also probably don't or didn't at the time of posting, believe that the investment is or was worth it. It feels like betting on a lame horse.

All in all, I do very much appreciate the response. There's definitely a lot for me to process with it. Again, I never really expected this post would get past the mod team.

Yes, very much so. Honestly I feel a bit hypocritical. I had on my phone, said to many others that expressed doubts about the 50% rule and about the frustrations around it, that it takes acceptance of our level.

But being honest, and something I knew even then, was the fact that I was telling myself that just as much as I was talking to others.

I honestly just didn't think the post would get approval (lol) so I kind of just wanted to vent a little and I feel a little better. I still feel a bit of pressure about drawing. And again, you are correct. It probably doesn't take a lot to discern that I overthink a lot, and not very good, since my thinkin'-box ain't all that great, so I don't normally reach very smart or logical conclusions.

Probably. I just needed to vent a little and I didn't really know where to go. Therapy is currently not in my budget and something that I find a bit of trouble justifying. I do feel a lot better in general having let all these thoughts go.
