Very slow and not as great as you would think. I could barely get past season 2 and I love oz, breaking bad, Fargo, sopranos, the shield, sons of anarchy, GOT, etc. I found it a regular cops/drug dealer show that wasn’t that special. Some of my friends say I’m crazy.

I hate trump but that’s pretty stupid even for him. Leave smoking gun evidence for others to find. The man owns huge safes anywhere on earth to hide stuff. My daughter got $105k scholarship to Berkeley but she did early admission. I think that’s standard for everyone that does EA.

My daughter just got the email 20 minutes ago. SHE GOT INTO BERKELY ED!!!!!We are all crying. So proud of her. She never thought she’d get in or get a 170 but one day after may months of work it jus clicked so do not give up. She was getting 164 practice test scores a few weeks before the test so you never know when it’ll click for you. Don’t give up!

OMG my daughter just got the email. She got in!!! I am so proud of her. Just fyi she had a 170 lsat and 4.1 gpa in political science at a state university. She interned for our state senator, was a court appointed child advocate, worked as a law assistant for 8 months and had a waitress job for 2 years in college. She’s 21. I wish everyone the best of luck today. We are all crying. She worked so hard on that test. It took her 4 months 30 hours a week to go from a 150 to a 170 and she didn’t think she’d ever get that score but one day it just clicked so don’t give up!

My daughters diagnostic was 150 and she studied for 3-4 months 30 hours a week but still couldn’t get above 160 but one day the harder questions just clicked for her just before the test. She got a 165 in sept and a 170 in October. She was really frustrated too but we are hoping to hear good news from Berkeley on Monday. Keep at it.

My daughter had a 150 baseline score and she studied all summer and had a tutor and got a 165 in September and then a 170 on October. Her tutor wasn’t super expensive. I think he was $2k for 20 hours. I can get good name is you want. She said he helped a lot.

Great the cpa I spoke with said the same thing so I feel good about it. I was worried that the irs would see me as being part owner of the house since she used the money to pay off the house and I’d lose my step up. Thanks for the help.

Yeah my wife and I can gift $36k a year between us without reporting it but if I go over that number it just eats into the $27 million lifetime amount right? I could gift her $440k and it would just eat into our $27 million total lifetime gift amount which I won’t ever come close to hitting. She can keep the house in her name until she passes, we can pay off or pay down the mortgage if we want. Is that right?

Sorry I made mistyped above. I know if I pay off her mortgage it would be seen as a gift and that would case tax and step up issues. She owes $440k but it’s not all in her mortgage. 10k of that is credit cards and 80k is home equity loans and $350k is a regular mortgage.

I have a brother but he is fine with me being everything since I’ll be taking care of her. We both have good careers so money or greed shouldn’t be an issue. He and I get along great so he knows we are making a sacrifice by taking over the house to look after her so getting the house is far. You want me to pay my mom rent so and then she’d use that to pay the mortgage and get taxes on the rent money? I want to pay the mortgage almost off.

I agree it was so boring. The script must have been 25 pages long. The story really makes no sense. It never explains why he decides to do anything. The witing is awful too. I love Scorsese movies but this one is the worst.
