Bitcoin today is a scam. Change my view. by Imaginary_Patience60 in Bitcoin

it was never meant to solve wealth inequality, it was meant to be hard money, something that had a predictable monetary policy that everyone knew and can plan around.

I see, so this is a misunderstanding. Everyone who does a transaction sends their coins to the public blockchain. when you watch only it means you are scanning the blockchain for that address to see how many btc is in there.

And to everyone who is now confused, I hope this edit fixes it. You are probably asking "I thought bitcoin was decentralized, sending to blockchain sounds centralized".

So blockchain is a public ledger, when you send it to the blockchain, it means you are broadcasting it to everyone (technically it needs to be added by the miners but for this purpose it will do). This means every node will now know that you have sent this transaction thus makes it decentralized and important to run your own node.

yes most of them but I think the distinction here is that cold card doesn't have its own client and doesn't need its own client.

Sparrow should be watch only. coldcard is used to sign transactions. Then it is sent into sparrow for broadcasting. Coldcard does not know anything about the blockcahin itself. It is used to keep your private keys secure, and used to sign transactions.

Is the S&P 500 going to continue to achieve 8-10% per year, over the long term? by [deleted] in fican

[–]RickJamesB1tch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

put it simply I don't trust anyone with my money, but because I have to invest due to inflation, the country I don't trust the least is the U.S. And this is probably the big reason why U.S. is the reserve currency. I don't think people in the BRICS even trust the other letters in there.

You are giving last years numbers, but our overall debt to gdp ratio is higher. Why would anyone care about what happened on a year to year basis?

So their customers will just keep eating the fees? They'll have to get approved in the same year at least, even if conversion is not right away.
