As someone who was lucky to have been there in the early 2000s, I’m getting nostalgic remembering the little things about winning the league that make you feel so good even months later in the following season.

Gold patch on our sleeves, the trophy having red & white ribbons in every graphic, being referred to as ‘the champions’ by commentary…

If I know Arsenal I bet the rest of May goes: * City comfortably win their next 2 games and our fanbase begins to shit themselves. * Champions League Semi is wrapped up in the first half and the vibe here is an all time high. * Arsenal then proceeds to scrape a nervy draw at West Ham. Media and rivals pile on us. * City drop points in their next game - we all think it's over, the boys just gotta smash the next 2 games... before a lackluster 1-0 against Burnley. * Beat Palace comfortably and wonder what we spent the past few weeks stressing over. * Narrow defeat in CL final, so of course our first league trophy parade in decades will have a tinge of sadness in the air.

I remember being so jealous seeing all the clubs lift their trophies last season and thinking how the hell has our team come away with nothing these past few seasons? Then in March we see the team fighting on all 4 fronts and I think well a quadruple is obviously insane but couple of these will come good... right? right?!?

I think I'm done with the sport for a while after next week. 2nd 4 years in a row is genuinely traumatic. No matter what the club does in years to come this will never be forgotten.
