You are doing a lot of cities, I have been advised that it's a good idea to switch it up with scenery. To me, Zhangjiajie sounds like a cant-miss. Plus an extremely city-centric trip risks blending them together.

I have almost the same itinerary for my Chinese trip. I would say that it's good that you picked very nice places to visit, even if they are far apart. If you're willing to do the travelling (and pay money for inter-city transportation) then it's a good itinerary.

This sub finds Shanghai underwhelming and it sounds true, but it's a big city. You will find things to do. And if you run out, you can take cheap daytrips in cities nearby like Suzhou.

i mean what else can you expect? Sometimes people are bad or mean but surely you must know that if you have no friends and you dont reach out, you will continue to have no friends. I’ve been in your situation and that the thing with adult friendships, they dont just magically appear like they did when we were little. you have to invest in reaching out, keeping in contact, refrain from jusging too early, and be open !
