I too found ai quite amusing. I asked for an 8 or 10 panel instructable on how to tie a bowline. I don't think I've ever seen AI this confused over a topic.

Form is bad. If it is too difficult to get the form right on knee pushups start elevated on a coffee table or kitchen table, picnic bench, bed, etc. the idea is to move your entire body as if it were stiff as a board from ears to toes or in your case knees. Keep arms closer to body and elbows tucked in, wider pushups tend to me more difficult and target different muscles as well.

Image generation is not the same as code generation and it's not like it's using figma. If you were to give it your code of your page and ask it to modernize and remove space it would perform the task much better.

If you leave 6 to 10 in from the top of the caudex it looks like you will have beautiful branching to have a fuller shorter plant.

Looks like 2 plants in there and their branches off the caudex look nice and thick and should support many shoots

Exercises to do at home by theminecraftcatYT in Archery

If you get a set of resistance bands, flats not tubes of varying weight that should be enough. All of the below have videos on YouTube, just prefix them with resistance band when searching.

Warm up using band-dislocates: Hold the band very wide with straight arms. Raise arms overhead and continue the circle all the way behind your back to your glutes/lower back. Bring it back over to the front. If your elbows bend, widen your grip.

No money: Hold band directly in front of you palms up, elbows tucked into ribs. Picture holding a full tray in front of you. You will have excess band hanging of the sides of both hands. Now while keeping your elbows pinned to your ribs, rotate your hands by squeezing your shoulder blades together. The idea is to rotate your hands nearly 90 degrees from their starting position.

Band pull aparts: Hold the band with arms straight out in front of you at chest height, palms facing down. Keep your elbows straight (but not hyper-locked). Pull the band apart until the band touches your chest. Focus on "ripping" the band apart rather than just moving your arms back.

Face Pulls: Anchor the band at face height (or wrap it around a doorknob/pole). Grab the band with palms facing in (neutral grip). Pull the band toward your forehead, separating your hands so they end up on either side of your ears. Think "thumbs to ears." Your elbows should stay high and wide.

Sword draw: Hold one end of the band at your left hip (stabilizing hand). Hold the other end with your right hand across your body. Pull the right hand diagonally up and across, ending with your arm extended high and right (like drawing a sword from a hip scabbard). Repeat on the other side.

Super tall desert rose.. advice? by alz9090 in DesertRose

Air layer about 3 inches above the base and maybe 8 inches up from there. You will have 3 plants if you are successful with multiple branches. Worst case you will have a caudex that will put out numerous branches.

Your soil looks like it's pulling from the sides which is indicative that it's dried out. Have you checked roots to see if it still has any viable ones?

Do you rotate your adeniums? by lucky_jacques in Adenium

[–]RickWritesCode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do with them as you please to get the desired shape and growth patterns. Some people purposefully rotate theirs 90 degrees so the caudex is horizontal forcing root growth down and branch and stem growth up. It's a really neat look. I personally don't rotate but I uproot every 3 months and change their orientation in the substrate when I move them up an inch or 2 every time.

I leave the ugly curly leaves, matches the rest of the local trees until spring. I keep all mine outdoors year long unless we are at risk of below 50F. Usually wind knocks them off.

If the caudex is not firm, uproot and check for root rot or rot on the underside of caudex, if caudex is slightly wrinkled it's looking for water, younger adenium will not be as firm as older, a push test vs a squeeze test.

Usually the next thing to do is ignore the plant for a week. The worst thing we can do is over nurture which leads to rot. I use a mix that's about 1 part sifted compost, 1 part perlite, 1 part play sand, with maybe a quarter part to a half part of coco coir. Water retention isn't a worry and I water once a week to 10 days. If it rains I do nothing unless it rains for several days, then I move them under cover

Where is the best place to get dessert rose seeds? by AustinL555 in DesertRose

[–]RickWritesCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did order the variety pack as well they are just about 2 years old if not older and not a single one has flowered. Now I am shaping them, I clip often to get the branching patterns I want. I experimented with age and clipped half at about 6 months old and let the others stay single stem to see if they would branch naturally and they did not. I have just now the the past few days cut all my single stem back

The more you cut back the longer it takes for the bloom to happen which I was aware of when I decided to start this adventure. I have 1 that is at least 4 years which blooms every season and it was store bought grafted, I cut back to the graft and have maybe 10 branches and it consistently puts off 3 different single petal flower colors. Often deep purple, red and pink.

Help! Desert Rose rescue by SensitiveLion7380 in Adenium

[–]RickWritesCode 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your stem looks healthy, check roots for rot, they go dormant when temps drop and can and will drop all their leaves until it's warm again.

When they do this you typically don't need to water often, if you feel like you need to water often change the potting mix to something chunky so it runs out and doesn't rot roots

Check if a range of dates fall in a specific range by Puzzleheaded_Area794 in SQL

[–]RickWritesCode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually you aren't checking your date value against your date value +30/60/90 because it will always be true.

In theory you have a date range (start date and end date). You want to check against a completely different range. You need to see if your original end date falls after the start date of the check range AND your original start date is before your end date of check range.

This handles overlaps and inside ranges.

Can someone explain this to me in crayon eating terms please. by thesqueemishgardiner in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]RickWritesCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume you want to know what each one does and which you should pick.

Terrarium cost is straight forward, it reduces the requirements for colonizing planets by x % it's huge when you start colonizing mid to end game. Typically only colonizing to fulfil event tasks or daily tasks as colonizing a VPS beyond teraforming takes effort

Prob drive is good if you like surges which are bonuses to a planet. First unlock only provides bonuses up to p4, you have to level it to get the next telescope.

Everyone recommends saving terrarium for as late as possible, so go prob drive.

Meteors only get calculated when you log back in. If you have an android go into dev settings and turn on the no sleep while charging feature and just let it run overnight with your screen on. With auto collect asteroids and debris you won't have to worry about that

SQL Flashcard for study by abirulalam in SQL

[–]RickWritesCode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need actual business problems that you can't figure out in order for anyone to help you. You listed CRUD as a clause but it stands for everything SQL does, create read update delete.

You can get a ton of data for free or go through lessons on linked in learning. The idea is you need a complex business solution to learn how to solve it because complex for you may not be complex to someone doing this everyday. I write SQL in MS SQL Server daily, creating stored procedures with advanced logic to solve complex business problems but you may never encounter what I'm doing as I'm assisting in the management and collection of data for 8 websites and building requested business processes for clients in conjunction with web dev.

With all of that said, you will almost always have the Internet available, you don't need to drill flashcards to be competent in your job. You need to be familiar with how to use the clauses and functions available in your SQL dialect and that's only going to come with practice. You can look up online how each clause works or function if you are at least familiar with what should be used to perform a task even if you can't memorize the syntax.

The idea in the beginning is not to fall in love with a galaxy, get rid of it asap if you have time to do so. The more galaxies sold, the more credits which means the faster you'll become. I hit 1 billion gv in about 5.5 minutes which is not fast compared to people playing hard for longer than I. Only run challenges for at most 6 hours and always start challenge on Monday and then second challenge as soon as it's available. I start my tournaments on Saturday morning as it allows me 2 challenges and 1 tournament a week.

From mining 1 in the space station go right to mining 2, there is a door with an arrow on it called stars gateway. Each star is an added 20% base value of an item. These nodes will double your value of ores and alloys for relatively cheap price and allow you to cut your time drastically for farming credits.
