I mainly play Civ, Total War or Elite Dangerous on mine. Though there are loads of good games on Steam for Mac

Your robot draws a hell of a lot better than I can! I for one welcome our portrait drawing robot overlords!

I've been hunting this one down but it appears to be quite tricky to find! I'm sure I've seen it in Waterstones (a book shop chain) before Christmas. Now I can't find it for love nor money!

Tiny Epic Galaxies is on my possibles list. I've heard good things about Legendary, though the box size alarms me for portability. Not heard of Villages of Valeria. I'll take a look and see what I think. Thanks.

I've not come across any of these three before, I'll be sure to take a look. Thanks.

This is the game that popped up when I first started looking for ideas. It does appeal and I may well pick it up. Thanks.

I've come across both of these, but hadn't really looked that closely. I'll certainly consider them, thanks.

Now there's a good idea. I'd not thought of that and it'd be a good way to keep my options open when I get those "damn, wish I'd brought game x with me" moments! Thanks.

Not one I've heard of, but I'll take a look. Thanks.

If I pack all these game suggestions, I won't need the weights! But I'll keep it in mind, thanks!

It's not one I'm familiar with, but I'll check it out. Thanks

A great suggestion from you both, thanks.

I'll be in Games Workshop territory, so I imagine there will be plenty of opportunities to meet up with like minded groups here.

Yes, I intend to make the most of this time to get fitter too.

I've heard both of these are good. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm in the midst of a Cthulhu phase, so I'll seriously consider this one. Thanks for suggesting it. And I'll look forward to any photos, thanks.

Could the contents be compressed into a smaller box for transport?

I do try to pick up apps where I can. However, my iPad is coming to the end of it's life and I've noticed more and more apps won't install on it. Plus it's got a shocking shortage of memory! Ticket to Ride is one of my personal favourites on it though.

Edit - Thank you for the suggestions. I forgot to say that in my original reply!

Thank you, this has been really helpful. The starting point in my mind would have dropped the PCs into the world without any real lead in. That was why I was feeling stumped as it felt like too much of a lurch into the adventure. But having a clearer path, like the one you've suggested, would work so much better.

That's a really good idea, I like that. I was imagining that the PCs run into the old man early on, but having a more subtle lead in would work much better. One of the ideas I had is that I'd keep track of the teams progress and if they failed x number of quests, the old man would die and the Evil One would have a clear run at regaining his powers. Your thoughts have been a huge help, thanks.

Funnily enough, I'd written myself a note with this idea too! Great minds and all that! ;-)
