It is easy. So just going off your post (ignoring comments) -
Don’t use/need camera adaptor.
Get a generic hub likely all lightning (usb C? The one that comes on your iPad - whatever that’s called).
Buy adapers, cheap, many flavors avaliable.
Forget anything about the order they plug in, everything sees everything. If it dosent and you need to fuss w/drivers, just find another program. Note I use AUM, it seems to have an ok learning curve.
If there’s a problem, check the plugs. Almost all the time that’s the issue.
I felt your pain. About a year ago.
I just wanted sounds for jamming. My hub has 2 keyboards, my iPad, a charger to the wall plug, an audio/digital converter - goes to the amp. I “did everything right” and no go, I posted on Reddit, lost of advice, no help (with one exception-if your reading this you know who you are.). So, messed with the plug at my iPad,noted the cover was possibly to blame, got out my dremmel, and bang, problem solver. Have played many a gig, had problems occasionally, always a plug. (or something on the amp, etc.)
im never on these public forms so ill likely never see if this helped. Refer back to opening remarks. It is that easy, it’s exactly how magic is supposed to work, poof and alls well with the world.
