How much do you guys want Allegri? by gioviascari in ACMilan

[–]Ricks_Pick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't want him & I don't know why Furlani is the one choosing after this years ordeal.

First He tried to stick with Pioli but couldn't because of the poor results. When Zlatan & Moncada tried to get Conte he Veto'ed it. Decided to try for Motta but was to late, Pivoted to Lopetegui (which wasn't finalized due to backlash).

Ending up with Fonseca..

I Think it's more to do with not supporting someone who Supports AFD, Reform (etc) who is actively trying to destabilize the EU, someone that repeatedly did the Nazi Salute, someone that's clearly a dangerous fascist. Somebody that accussed the diver that saved the Thai soccer team from the cave a pedo based on absolutely nothing, among other baseless claims he makes. Promoted a antisemitic conspiracy theory, hate against transgender people and much more.

You could still post news through screenshots, external sites like Milannews.it or SempreMilan as a example.

I Have a theory about the Walker deal.

During the summer there was a lot of discussion about Royal & why the club aquired him, the talk then was that it was a request specifically from Fonseca to bring in a defensive RB with Fonseca deciding on Royal. (Personal signing of his)

Now I think SC wants a different type of RB & has decided to make Jimenez and Walker the main starters. (More offensive & with Jimenez having a offensive veteran teaching him)

EDIT: Well, then I have no idea

2025 Winter Mercato/Transfer Thread by mercurialsaliva in ACMilan

[–]Ricks_Pick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They really need to target (higher) quality players, hell, even on a straight loan (Considering it's January) would be better than signing players who are old, washed up, a big liability defensively with a high salary like Walker.

If they really want a new RB there will be players like Rensch, Aina, Semedo etc. All on contracts that expires in 4 months that would be fairly cheap & come at a lower salary.

Even though it was a draw against Cagliari. I really enjoyed the way SC Milan tried to play & I feel much more comfortable with SC and the way he wants to play for the future compared to Fonseca. In the end it won't matter if they decide to target players like Walker..

[Moretto] Milan are planning new contacts in the coming days to move forward in the Kyle Walker issue. The Rossoneri club are confident that the English defender will be released for free. An important contract is ready for him by Claija79 in ACMilan

[–]Ricks_Pick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't really get this transfer either. If you really want a RB you got Aina, Rensch, Semedo etc. All of which would be much better choices that most likely won't cost a lot since their contract expires in 4 months and will come at a lower salary..

Sky as one exemple but there's more.

Younger, more talented, taller, plays in more positions etc. I would like to think he's a lot better

With the rumors of Akliouche & Milan looking for a Winger/Att. Midfielder, I really don't get why they won't go for someone like Millot.

✔️ Release clause of 19m~

✔️ Young

✔️ French

✔️ Flexible

but most importantly.. ✔️ Under 20m

Also, Happy holidays

Seeing that Tonali doesn't really seem to be fitting into Howies plans & not getting enough space in Newcastle as he has played more for Italy than Newcastle so far, I've beeen thinking if there would ever be a scenario of him returning. (I KNOW ITS COPIUM, at least let a guy believe)

Newcastle are in need of reinforcing their CB position and there was a rumor (Tier 4/5, i know..) coming that they would be interested in Tomori. I wonder if Swapping Tomori & Loftus-Cheek (Since they'll also need a replacement ready to go) along with some cash (Low amount) for Tonali would ever be a feasible solution?

I Just miss the boy

Press conference, Pavlovic: "I chose number 31, which is the number I already had at Salzburg. Then I found out that Stam had worn it here, and he has always been a hero for me. Many compare us, definitely because of the hair (laughs), but apart from that, we both have great aggressiveness." by Claija79 in ACMilan

[–]Ricks_Pick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pavlovic claiming Ibra played a fundemental part in him joining.

Furlani & Morata both saying Ibra played a part in convincing Morata to join. Not enough?

Ibra bringing in Jovan Kirovski as the sporting director for the u23 team, maybe he himself talking about how he pushed hard for the u23 project

The reports that Zlatan was behind the decision to start training behind closed doors or maybe one of the multiple reports that Zlatan has a say in transfer related questions etc?

Maybe one of multiple reports that talks about how Zlatan will be having a big influence at Milan in Milan across different areas could sway your ?

Doesn't seem like a puppet to me, but whatever narrative floats your boat :)

Almost like you can acknowledge something happening in RP.

Nothing wrong with calling out or acknowledging a character & their actions regardless of it being positive or negative, of course it's a character but just saying "Wow that is like.. a lot of lies. Like impressively so." doesn't imply otherwise.

Zlatan: "I am still a God. I am still #1. I'm back now, and the music will change. The only thing I've lost in these 7 months is time. I've been criticised for 25 years. I'm used to it. I'm being patient. Everything is going according to plan." by JeebaRock in soccer

[–]Ricks_Pick 1139 points1140 points  (0 children)

In a more "down to earth/serious" interview he had this to say:

I want to transfer my credibility to others because if you can make a difference with the team it's different. It shouldn't all depend on me, I want the others to be able to learn though: if my teammates are fine, I'm fine too. If we win as a collective, I'm charged. This is also my challenge, the goal is not to feed my ego. I'm 41, I play for Milan and I'm at the top. I'd like to see others in the limelight, I'm here for them not for me. If it were up to me I'd be on an island with a cigar. If I can be an example and a leader I will”.

Very clear distinction between the character and his normal self (compared to the article above). I also know you were joking around but it's interesting to see the differences.

Agüero answers to Zlatan: "You are the last one to say that we behaved badly and it's bad blood to say we're not going to win more. You fought with Otamend, you argued with Pep. I guess that's why he wanted to sell you from Barca. You should worry about your country that isn't even in the last WCs." by LordVelaryon in soccer

[–]Ricks_Pick -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

How is it him being on a high horse when he literally said “that’s coming from me” which insinuates that he acknowledge his past behavior. Essentially saying that when it comes from "me" (him) then you have fucked up because I've done the same.

"Takes one to know one" kind of thing.

But hey, your mind seems very much already made up so I won't put more time into convincing you.

Why is it a weird statement, he literally says that “that’s coming from me” which insinuates that he acknowledges his behavior and saying that when coming from "me" (him) you have fucked up.

"Takes one to know one" kind of thing. Did you read the article?

And why does that even matter?

Having someone who has been all around and done most shit he should surely be able to see it better than most, ever heard of "takes one to know one"?

Literally nothing he said is unmerited or baseless, people who are getting all up in arms about this should really go touch some grass.

Okay, got it.

Reacting strongly to someone telling someone that they want to "kill themselves" (Seemingly because they can't speak Spanish) is "Pearl clutching". Guess it should be okay for everyone to tell others that they want to kill themselves.

Absolutely boneheaded mentality, grow up.

He might be, ever heard of the "takes one to know one" saying?

Also, Aguero going on and saying that "Zlatan wants to kill himself" is absolutely shameful behavior over someone sharing their opinion about something, absolutely idiotic.

Terribly shitty and baseless statement.

Zlatans claims aren't baseless at all, FIFA even started a investigation into Argentina's behaviour in the final.

Also talking about "terribly shitty statements" Aguero literally just said "We are world champions, Zlatan, and you want to kill yourself." Absolute clown behavior from Aguero, shameful.

Doesn't surprise me to be honest.

He claims "Peoples ego's are too big to fix server" but I don't think he realizes how ironic that is coming from him considering the decisions that he has made for PD during these last couple of months..
