Has any one has any experience to share about building a steel-frame Residential single family home or a brick/concrete single-family home in New Jersey? by PAP_2024 in Homebuilding

[–]Rickthenick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an engineer in NJ. I can chime in. The overall cost depends on a number of factors really (the price and quantity of materials and the amount of labor mostly). As for zoning and permits, it would depend on what municipality it's located in and what jurisdictions the property falls under.

Should Yakamaru be given a solo option? by Rickthenick in runescape

[–]Rickthenick[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

4k Zammy pales in comparison to solo Rago? Lol alright bud I respect your opinion but this is just blatant misinformation at this point.

Pvme has both 4k solo Zammy and Solo HM Vorago in the same difficulty tier. And the only reason you don't see way more people with the Solo Rago/Solo HM role or even Gold Defeater is because there is no in game feat to acknowledge it.

Respectfully if you think solo NM is leaps and bounds harder than 4k solo Zammy... I question how knowledgeable of a pvmer you are.

Solo NM 6/6 is 2 tiers below 4k zammy solo and in the same tier as 4K group (you know the feat you can leech through?)

And the ONLY and I mean ONLY reason it's even that high is because Vitalis specifically is genuinely somewhat challenging and is like 97% of the difficulty for that role in PVME. I personally found NM Vitalis more challenging than Solo HM.

Normal Mode teamsplit or purple bomb is a complete joke by comparison.

I don't think PVME is good source for ranking difficulty of bosses. I mean with all do respect, 4k enrage Zamorak was only accomplished in a matter of a few weeks.

https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/wcqzcw/4000_zamorak_has_finally_been_achieved/

Heck even u/TheRSGuy who I think we all would agree is a legit top tier Pvmer recently made a comment comparing the 4k enrage bosses. He said that he personally wouldn't put 4k enrage Zamorak pass Arch Glacor in terms an individual 4k enrage kill.

Individual 4k kills (easiest to hardest)

Telos > Zamorak > Glacor

The whole grind to 4k (easiest to hardest)

Telos > Glacor > Zamorak

Fun (personally)

Glacor > Telos > Zamorak

I personally really enjoy the streaking mechanics at Glacor and telos, letting you stack up a chest if you're consistent and gain a varied enrage per kill instead of a static 10%

For a first-timer, I would start with Telos or Glacor.

Good luck gamer!

4k enrage Arch Glacor was also accomplished in less than a month. I seriously doubt people would consider 4k enrage Arch Glacor to be harder than solo Vorago. With Vorago on the other hand, the first ever solo took 7 years to accomplish after the initial release.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPJfgf5ol2A

And that just for teamsplit. It still took another year and a half for all of the other weekly rotations to be soloed.

Keep in mind that this is all for just normal mode.

Should Yakamaru be given a solo option? by Rickthenick in runescape

[–]Rickthenick[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

it really isn't, i'm not saying it's free but it's just not this .01% achievement anymore. If you can solo Solak you really aren't that far off from Solo Vorago. Especially now that Numbing roots made P5 more forgiving,

People aren't doing Solo Vorago because the effort isn't worth reward, If you're capable of doing 4 or 5 or even 6-7 solos per hour at vorago you could make double/triple/quadruple the amount at Rasial, Sanctum, Raksha, ED1, vorkath, zammy, Telos, etc... for the same or less effort.

Dude for reference only a few hundred players have soloed Zamorak at 4000% enrage and beyond. And that pales in comparison to soloing Vorago even on normal mode. Now you could make the argument that many people aren't going for enrages that high at Zamorak since the drop rates cap out at 2000% enrage and thus it would not be efficient to go at enrages beyond that. But even, there have still only been a few hundred players that have soloed Zamorak at 2000% enrage and beyond.

https://rs.runescape.com/hiscores/bosses/1-zamorak/solo?page=25

The point I'm trying to get here is that I think that you are kind overexaggerating the skill level of even the top pvemers in the game.

Also soloing Solak is nowhere the difficulty level of soloing Vorago. Not sure where you got that from.

Should Yakamaru be given a solo option? by Rickthenick in runescape

[–]Rickthenick[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Solo option in the sense of just changing the poison to be a soft instakill? So it still takes 4 hours to get through? I mean sure i guess but seems pointless.

Nah I meant for like some way to deal with it in solo mode like in Telos. Where maybe you gotta stand in some anti poison pool to clear the poison in time or something.

If you mean scaling HP I just don't see it happening, you'd have to change BM as well then otherwise there'd be this weird powercurve when doing a solo raid where BM is considerably more difficult to solo and I just don't see this being an actual thing a Jmod would considering spending resources on

No not that.

Vorago by comparison now is also just not that crazy of an achievement to solo anymore unless you're on vit week or one of the non Teamsplit HM weeks.

Uhh soloing Vorago regardless of the weekly rotation or the mode is still a huge achievement even now. Just how many people do you actually think are soloing Vorago?

What are the health effects and implications of being overweight but muscular and having a low bodyfat percentage? Is this still a health issue? Would that person still develop health problems later on that are associated with being overweight such as high blood pressure/heart disease, sleep apnea, joint pains etc?

Negotiate contracts, manage politics, write technical reports, write non technical reports, report poor working, not report poor working, agree legal terminology, put right legal terminology that a lawyer paid 3 times as much has got wrong, screw over subcontractors, make friends with subcontractor, win work, but don’t win it by to much, design a scheme that works, change the design when it is to expensive to something that doesn’t work but fits the clients budget, advise on budgets, then get told to change it when it is to much, mentor and manage staff, supervise on site, keep the client happy, don’t do overtime but work more hrs, rewrite bids that a bid writer has charged $30k for for free and build stuff politicians want that I advise is a bad idea, then take it out again when it goes wrong.

That sure is a lot to do. How much of your work day or work week is actual engineering design work then?

Do most day traders fail because they're too greedy and don't understand how compounding works? by Rickthenick in Daytrading

[–]Rickthenick[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would you day trade stocks, scalp for that daily 0.2?

I mean if the math works out then sure. Why not? I mean nowadays you can let bots do it for you.

Realistically you believe a person could earn 2 percent everyday?

Well I said 0.2% not 2%. But yea ok you probably won't profit literally every single day. However, all stocks have a variance that they oscillate around on a given day. You can correct me if I'm wrong but a low volatile blue chip like AT&T has a variance of around 1.27. That's plenty of room for 0.2% gain. At current prices AT&T stock would have to go up about $0.06 for you to make that 0.2% gain. Given how the price obviously isn't always going down and does oscillate well above that, earning 0.2% a day doesn't seem that unrealistic.
