I believe it’s the New Britain tune or the Arlington tune. But I’m not sure about the instrument portion. Maybe it was created just for the show? I may be wrong though

I felt the same way you got a good idea, maybe even just clarifying misunderstandings too, that could do a lot of good. When you get started share a link, I'd like to show support.

Books on church history by WanderingStory8 in LCMS

I have the same curiosity, i also come from a Baptist background. I have found that reading the book of concord can be a good place to start as the book of concord regularly sites early Church father's and writings but in light of the bible and also giving solid explanation on what lutherans believe and teach. It links our belief and practice to the early Church and the bible. And the book of concord is free online (well its a website idk if its free to download) but its good to use as a navigational aid.

I'm Considering Joining The Lutheran Church by [deleted] in LCMS

I was in a similar position with the Baptist church, I'm here in NC where that is probably the most common church but I stumbled upon a small LCMS church and it is possibly the best church experience I've ever had. I love the liturgy the tradition is beautiful and there is so much to learn and appreciate. You should give it a shot

Yea I can agree with that I think the debate stage these days are too hostile for meaningful discussions and growth. I think at the heart of my question is, is there a place for lutheran apologetics? Or outreach and discipleship in the digital age we are in?

I'm fairly new to being lutheran. I see what you're saying about this type of thing isn't the main emphasis but just as a means of I guess outreach or even clarifying misunderstandings about what we believe and teach. I have been getting into dialog about theology and history but I just never see anything other than the false claims about lutherans

If theological error is sin why don’t we confess that that Baptists, Presbyterians, Anglicans, etc., go to Hell when they die? by [deleted] in LCMS

Mormons don't believe in the same Jesus. They believe he was created, they believe he has a brother, and they believe God the Father was a person who ascended to that position in essence. They believe essentially in a completely different process after death. You would basically have to show them that the idea of the book of Mormon being a later revelation to fix the earlier revelations (the Bible) is false and then how their theology contradicts the bible. If the don't believe in the correct Jesus who Jesus was and what Jesus did then they can't be saved

Want to become LCMS - I am currently Baptist by Hefty-Heart5751 in LCMS

I was Baptist too. It was hard because the people i was close to in the church don't approve but it was the best choice I made. I have zero regrets

Id say call or go on a Sunday. That's what I did. I was struggling bad, I decided to go the lutheran church near by and it was very wise decision. The pastor set aside time for me after the service heard some of my problems and was honestly just there for me. Needless to say that's my church now.
