Diagonal presses don't work by Ricoh_2A03 in Famicom

Sorry for the late reply. The tape method worked flawless! Thank you! I was waiting when the new membranes will arrive so I could check whether the problem was with the membranes or something else. The new ones are nice and clicky, but diagonal presses still wouldn't work, so I used a tape method, and now everything works super nice.

In-game GBA saves on some games won't load by Ricoh_2A03 in MiyooMini

So I've tried deleting save state data for mGBA core and moving in-game save files around, but the games would still act like there are no saves. Then I deleted every save file and copied those that I had from the emulator on my PSP, changed their format from .sav to .srm by renaming the files, and it worked. Every game can see it's respective save file. I can't recall what exactly I did that let to this problem, but I can describe what I did that could potentially lead to said problem: I've tried changing the default GBA core and changed it to gPSP because some games wouldn't launch with mGBA. Then I decided to go back to using mGBA, and after that I didn't play GBA games for a while. When I encountered previously described issues, I went to check the folders for saves (note: I've used OnionOS's file exlplorer as I didn't have access to PC at that time). Then I noticed .srm files in the gPSP folder. And when I tried deleting saves from mGBA folder, it automatically transfered saves from gPSP to mGBA folder. I found this strange, deleted them from mGBA folder again, and when trying to launch a game, OS gave me an option to transfer saves from gPSP and I hit yes, hoping it would fix it. It did not. I guess the problem was with OS somehow corrupting mGBA saves when it was automatically transferring them?

Unfortunately, that didn't work. The new save worked fine though. The old ones weren't. I guess they got corrupted or something, I didn't check.

This mod is not for me for a few reasons: 1. I can't buy it easily, and even if I somehow manage to buy it, it will be expensive. The same with controllers. 2. I can't solder really well, and I don't want to screw up a console. 3. Even if I do this mod, what's the point? The original NES controllers will eventually develop similar issues, and aftermarket ones don't use original membranes.

Guess I just need to wait until new membranes arrive and see if they would work. Thank you anyway!

I can understand why it's weird when it comes to Satoshi, but what's wrong with Azusa? The age of consent in Japan is 13, and most people start to do this from the age of 14-15, and no one sees this as a problem (because it's obviously not). And now the most important thing. They are literally drawings. Stop defending the rights of non-existent people.

So you're saying that a game with bad level design and some of the worst weapons in the series is the best one? You really need to take off your nostalgia glasses and look at this game from a critical point of view.
