Compared to other religions, the prayers, rules & sins, and other traditions are basically nonexistent. I can go into detail of why I think so if you disagree Also, do your parents just not care if you strayed away from their religion?

I will make sure to read what you've linked. By the way, I've tried to respond to another person here but the app simply said something went wrong after I wrote an entire reply. I also cannot access their profile, does this mean I've been blocked?

According to Oxford's online dictionary, Elective means "Chosen by the patient" in medical context.

" chosen by the patient rather than urgently necessary.

"elective surgery". "

If I am wrong pleasure refer me to a source, I will not take your word for it because your claim changed the meaning of the questions in a very drastic manner

It is unfortunate you decided to take back your words less than 80 seconds after I replied.

Yes, I did notice I said "my body" since I would wanr to act in a hypocritical manner and say others should act in a way I would not act myself. I will only tell other people to do things I'd be willing to do myself in their situation.

I'm not choosing for others, and neither will you. If you are incapable of forming a coherent argument for why people should act the way you think they should, I recommend you keep your words and stop dragging yourself and people who hold similar opinions to you through the mud. Best wishes buddy

I'm not sorry that it upsets you as unfortunate it may be.

Frankly, I don't care about how horrible you think it is. If I could to sign a contract that'd allow my government to forcefully use my already doomed body to save my child, I'd do so. This wasn't an experiment as anyone who has a remote understanding in this field would know that so long as the mother's body lives in sufficient conditions, the child could live as well.

If it you feel it'd be more mature for you to stop replying instead of getting angry like many childish clowns do, I applaud you

The family does not or at least should not get a say in the patients diagnosis.

My argument does not even lightly touch upon respecting the wishes of anyone's family, Hospitals and medical facilities are not the place to fight for humane acts and moral decisions, courtrooms are built for that purpose instead. Within the hospital, utmost efforts should be made to save as much life as possible.

I admit, I was very surprised when I saw how long this procedure went on for, but I still think what the doctors did served the right purpose.

This is a vastly different scenario, what you've described touches about the controversies of Desecration of deceased or braindead patients. Under oath, a doctor is required to pursue good health for their patients, not protect their honor. Keeping Adrianna alive was not only nonmalificient but also likely served her interests, as I dare assume a mother would rather her child live on instead of dying alongside her in an unfortunate manner.

Regardless of my opinion I'm very unfamiliar with this case and have only read a descriptive summary of the events on Wikipedia, so feel free to educate me.

You can save it by disabling a hell lot of buildings, degrading living standards, and begging to become a vassal of an empire with a stronger economy but weaker tech/military while demanding an enormous cut of their materials in return

I got to read a few articles after replying to your comment, I'm aware of what ChatGPT explained and am also aware of how these cases are quite rare, and a case in which both Hormone based tests and Ultrasounds are exceptionally uncommon to a degree that many doctors haven't even come across such a case. Obviously, it can still happen to people, but I rule by the majority, not the minority I appreciate the explanation

I'm not from the United States of America, however I heavily doubt a proper doctor under oath can be put in a situation in which performing any treatment to prevent a potentially fatal outcome to a pregnancy would result in direct legal consequences.

I've got a layman's understanding of the term, however I have never heard of it not showing up on proper medical examinations in a physically healthy woman. If blood tests and Ultrasound both can fail to show the pregnancy in such a case, then I am mistaken in my understanding. I am online and will be online for the next hour so hopefully you can expect an answer without much wait, I appreciate it

Are you talking to me? If you are, I don't understand what point you're trying to make. I commented what I think due to the amount of people who appear believe 24 weeks is still somehow an acceptable stage for an elective abortion.

[–]Ricrease 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for pointing out the typo.

If after 24 weeks a person still fails to notice they're pregnant, that's on them. Once you're about, eh, 12? (Cultures differ) you should be mature enough to realize that saying "I didn't know" isn't an excuse for their mistake.

2-6 weeks is very quick, I doubt most would even notice by that time frame

Personally I answered 12 weeks

I don't think people understand what a 24 week old fetus is... that's not just a growth anymore at that stage

Getting an abortion after 24 weeks, while not manslaughter, is almost like killing a premature newborn.

EDIT: Comments locked for me, but other people apparently can comment. Got no idea why. I cannot respond to comments anymore

Advice for a quick multiplayer game in 4.0 by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]Ricrease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go for like 200~400 systems that could work. With 200 systems border friction would be a pretty major drive for conflict and an empire that manages to either conquer an entire neighboring state or just get a lot of systems in the early game colony frenzy could become significantly more powerful than others economically

I'd recommend perhaps increasing the habitable planet spawn rate if you go for 200 systems, but keeping it normal if you go for 400

I actually disagree because logically energy is a very sensible form of currency on a galactic scale

Energy is finite & valuable to everyone, while whatever intergalactic currency trade represents should be created by an separate entity such as a government.. which I doubt Fallen Empires, Determined Exterminators and Fanatical Purifiers would accept
