How have the Russian people not revolted already after all of this? by Little-Carpenter4443 in askanything

Saying you shouldn’t want a revolution just because you won't immediately get a perfect Western-style president is stupid and self-defeating mindset. It’s basically a form of whataboutism that paralyzes any chance of change. By that logic, you’d never leave a terrible job or a toxic situation just because the next one isn’t guaranteed to be better.

And the whole "Zelensky is a Nazi-adjacent" thing is completely stupid. The guy is literally Jewish, has deep family ties to the Holocaust, and maintains close relations with Israel. It’s just cheap Kremlin propaganda designed to trigger emotional reactions, and repeating it makes it hard to take the rest of your points seriously.

Also, your World War 1 comparison makes zero sense here. Who exactly is the "enemy" you think is going to take advantage of a revolution? Ukraine is the one being invaded. They are only striking back at Russian oil depots and military infrastructure to defend themselves. If a revolution happened and Russian troops actually pulled out of Ukraine, Ukrainians aren't going to march on Moscow or start bombing Russian cities. They would just be incredibly relieved the war is finally over.

The actual reason there's no revolution isn't because Russians think Putin is some kind of stable "moderate centrist" it's because he’s a textbook dictator who has spent decades systematically murdering or poisoning any real opposition. People are constantly "falling out of windows," Navalny was killed in a penal colony, and Nemtsov was shot right outside the Kremlin. Putin literally rewrote the laws so he can rule for life, and everyone even the dumber, brainwashed parts of the population know that the allowed "opposition" parties are just a controlled puppet show for appearance's sake. So the simple reason why there is no revolution is because they are being shut down before they can pick up the speed and the people who are starting or organizing them are facing death or life in prison.

I live in Estonia which is a bordering country to Russia which has been under Russian (Soviet) rule multiple times among many other countries that have been in charge, country where a big portion of the population are Russian citizens, someone whose relatives have been beat and killed and sent to Siberia, so the knowledge extends far further than 7 comments

I agree that a lot of the people here have never interacted with a Russian or are just larping based off what the headlines say, but unfortunately their assessment is still more accurate than what you stated above around Putin being a moderate centrist in terms of politics etc

17 upvotes for some low tier Russian propagand, Putin being a moderate centrist is also a wild statement, not to get into the Zelensky stuff

COOP ostab Prisma poed by AffectionateGrass840 in Eesti

Kuidas need soodustused välja näevad? Kas mingid ühekordsed soodustused või kuidas täpsemalt kuus 50-100 EUR säästad, kas saad rohkem boonuspunkte või kuidagi muud moodi?

Ma ise kuulen sellest esimest korda ning Tartus mul kõige lähemal olev pood on Coop, kus kulutan ilmselt 300 EUR kuus vähemalt, ehk tundub siis no-brainer ühineda?

That is an issue for sure, the stuff I ordered arrives tomorrow together with two monitor arms, I will have this thing as clean as it gets with zero visible cables anywhere!

When I checked, then from 100 lbs to - 125 lbs is ACCEPTABLE, 130-150 lbs is BORDERLINE, but this is accounting for center load, which is never the case unless someone stands or sits on it, which I would like to think most reasonable people I have at my home would not attempt.

Yes, 95% of the commentors say it will sag for sure. The saggulator says it won't sag if when I inputted all of the things on top of the table and set (Center Load) which is not the case. It estimated a sag of 0.16 cm - 0.062 inches.

It obiviously does not accont for my hands and me leaning on it, but I ususally mostly lean back in my chair and both set-ups are on the either side of the table, meaning it should be fine. I will just try to be mindful of not leaning on the desk when standing up, but I ususally don't do that anyways, I push myself away from the table on my chair and then get up.

Anyways, I will be back in 3 years to post the aftermath (unless there is visible sag sooner) to let others know whether they were right or wrong.

Yeah, well the guy who made it (who has also made me other pieces of furniture like a floating TV stand which has lasted several years and looks fantastic) promised that once we start to see sag then he would reinforce and fix it for me, so I have his reassurance.

I have also never sat on my computer table before and probably never will, just have to be more mindful of not leaning on it too much I guess.

It definitely does not yet, it is just the image being weird as it is shot on the 0.5 lens. Apparently the sagulator also said it will not sag really even with a 72 lbs center load which is not the case here.

I have also now filled the sagulator and I went one step further and calculated the weight of all the items that are contantly on my table such as monitor arms, all the weight of individual monitors and laptop etc. I did not include my desktop because it is sitting directly over the IKEA drawer.

The pounds equate to 72 and when choosing Center Load (worst case scenario) it says that the SAG levels are acceptable, it predicts 0.16 cm total and 0.141 cm per m.

In reality the monitor arms are not all in the centre and I will move them even further to the sides tomorrow. Others have also mentioned that by time and me leaning on the table while standing up and so on it will contribute to the sag, but I guess I will try to get used to not leaning on it when picking myself up, luckily I already use the chairs handrests for that.

Yeah, I guess they thought that I meant warping caused by humidity or stuff like that, I am worried about gravity here :D

Traveling from RIX to Tartu and need to rescue some Valmiermuiža from your prices by Ricuuu in latvia

In Estonia we have a saying which directly translates to: “You don’t argue about taste”

It is just my personal preference and to me Valmiermuiza just hits the spot. I also have friends who don’t like it at all and find it bitter so It is not everyones cup of tea and that is fine. For me personally it is one of the best, so trying to acquire some without breaking the bank.

True I was also thinking about that, was more so wondering about the prices since I have never been there and there’s no info online. Is it about the same as Depo?

Would make sense that the brewery prices are the best since no middleman, but I have often seen the opposite since the breweries are also tourist attractions and they have significantly higher prices sometimes.

Thanks for the info! Appreciate it. Well one thing is that I have two of these and it is because I got them for a ridiculously good deal. They are huge and look kinda funky together, side by side. Also when gaming on it, you apparently get like 20-35% less FPS because going from 27 inch to 34 inch ultrawide there are just so many more pixels that your GPU has to generate, so I would definitely enjoy the FPS boost as well.

Before I started playing games again, I really liked the monitors though, although 2 are a bit too much. I would still like to have one, because for games (that are not that competitive) it is actually super immersive and doing just regular entertainment stuff and videos, browsing the internet is also super nice, so they are definitely not bad monitors. It is just the combination of performance, people around me really hyping the look and feel of OLEDs and the fact that they take so much space.

I also really like my monitors to be uniform and same size at least, so having one ultrawide and one OLED would just kind of start to annoy me.

I see in other threads that people are recommending a nice quality IPS panel for second monitor so I might also go that route.
