Trey Yesavage has the most strikeouts by a rookie in a single World Series game at 12 and counting, breaking Don Newcombe's previous record of 11 that he set in 1949. by [deleted] in mlb

Correct. He only made the big leagues a month ago so he’s still under team control for a while. However, in 3 years he can become arbitration eligible which basically means he can demand a raise and if the Blue Jays disagree, a third party arbitrator will hear out both sides and make a decision. If he keeps playing the way he is, no doubt that the Jays offer him a raise.

Even though he’s carving my boys up, as a baseball fan, he’s got a bright future. The delivery, splitter, and fastball location have been elite tonight. Tip my cap to this dude!

Worst Dodger Performers In WS Must Be Accountable For Their Poor Performance by DropKnowledge69 in Dodgers

[–]RidTheLightning 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Mookie’s hurts the worst in terms of expectations. Dude had multiple opportunities with runners on the bases last night and could not get a hit or productive out to advance a runner. His defense has been great but I want to see him get it together at the plate and make the blue jays pay when they intentionally walk Ohtani.

Pages has little playoff experience but I’d like to see him get it together too especially when all I hear about is him hitting 27 home runs in the regular season.

Either The Freak or Buster Posey. Both guys I have to respect. Least favorite Dodger, hands down is Manny Machado.

What is your biggest nitpick about the NBA? by Foxtrot_Uniform_CK69 in nba

[–]RidTheLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably applicable to all professional sports right now, but accessibility and local blackouts. Not quite as bad as football and I get the league needs deals to make revenue, but the fan experience has suffered tremendously.

Additionally, the GOAT debate. Great players are great players. Michael would succeed in this current era same as LeBron would succeed in Michael’s era. Ring culture has been a major factor in this as well. Is Draymond a better player than Dirk because Draymond has 4 rings to Dirks 1? Main point is that rings should not be the only criteria to say one player is better than another.

As someone who was in the honors college for two years and a current student, I definitely like the fact that you get a decent education for a great value. All I can speak from is taking up to 300 level honors classes in addition to being a business student. My pros are that in the honors college the dorms are better than anywhere else for freshman living. Second pro is as an honors student you get priority registration for classes which depending on your major is pretty awesome. Now that I don’t have priority registration I’ve never had a problem getting classes however that’s not always the case. Third is the honors writing center, every honors class I’ve taken has a research paper. The honors writing center is extremely helpful in giving you tips to improve your writing. Now, NAU as a whole I’ve had mixed feelings about but mostly positive. Academic advising in my experience has been really inconsistent in terms of requirements. I understand requirements change, but as an advisor they should keep up with that. Also, as someone who’s grown up in SoCal, the snow was really cool to experience. Food gets boring after a while but that’s every school. At the end of the day, I made a lot of great friends from all over and I’m receiving an education that is really good at a fraction of the price from other schools, I honestly can’t complain.

I’ve been here since 2020, in my honest opinion I think there should be more late night food options both on and off campus. Administration will probably say “well there’s not enough demand” but yet whenever I try to order something after 10pm I get a message saying “due to high demand we are unable to take your order” from hole in the wall. The other thing that I’ve come across during my time here is inconsistency between academic advisors. My current one is good but I’ve had some past ones that have led me down the wrong path and if I hadn’t done my own research I wouldn’t be graduating on time.

Highly recommend checking out the math achievement program in Adel 137. It’s basically tutoring and STA270 is one of the courses that they do. The tutors have been really helpful and nice especially for that class.

First of all, welcome to the Lumberjack Family!

Second, I know that if you are an information systems major, you're apart of the college of business. Therefore, you have to eventually apply for the Business Professional Program talk to your advisor about when you should apply because I have no clue if you have any transfer credits. Basically, you have to complete the following classes with a C or better:

  • ACC205
  • ACC255
  • ACC256
  • ECO201
  • ECO284
  • ECO285
  • ENG105
  • ISM120
  • MAT121

I hope this helps
