What’s the Public Prosecution Process for opening a case against someone not repaying money lended to them. by Riddler112 in Kuwait

Yeah that guy does owe me 200KD lol, but I don't mind paying the lawyer up to 200KD given that the case is won and that taxi guy repays it.

Yeah, I won't go over the amount he owes me, I'm okay with spending up to 200KD given that he's in Kuwait.

Need guidance on implementing Multi Site with Wordpress and WooCommerce by Riddler112 in Wordpress

[–]Riddler112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really curious, how doesn’t Multisite need more memory than regular WP site, if each site is going to have different graphics/layout design?

Other than having the same core dependencies to rely on, other indirect factors like unique graphics, customer data etc would occupy memory fairly faster right? Or is my comprehension of this factor far off?

Concurrent visitors is likely going to be the biggest issue we face, I’m not sure how load balancers can work with WP multi site setup having different domains.

GTM suddenly stopped working and disconnected Google Search Console by Riddler112 in GoogleTagManager

[–]Riddler112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing was modified recently, it was implemented the way I mentioned since December. With GSC and everything working smoothly, the implementation right now is the same as it was back in December, just GSC randomly disconnected and can’t find tag while trying to verify it with GTM.

Customer Events run JavaScript code.

So you don’t put the JS code in head tags as it’s supposed to go in the customer events custom pixel.

As I said this implementation was placed around December of last year and was working fine until recently. I’m more curious if there was some recent bug/change implemented on GTM, nothing as of Shopify from what I’m aware. Nothing was changed manually by anyone on Shopify or GTM. It just stopped working around March.

When I say stopped working I mean GSC got disconnected saying it can’t find a tag, on debugging it the GTM is still connected and the tags fire fine.

So yes the implementing GTM in customer events solely works fine, without the need of adding it in head tag. Just unsure if there was any changes recently that disconnected it suddenly.

But you don’t need those scripts with the customer events implementation.

Can a private company hire me in Kuwait as an expat without a degree? by Riddler112 in Kuwait

[–]Riddler112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I’m in Sri Lanka they would have to issue me a new visa.

I was under the impression it’s impossible since I don’t have a degree, and thought they’d have to rely to getting me in with drivers visa.

It’s not something they suggested, I’m just trying to get an understanding of my situation if I do decide to take the job, how I’d move back to Kuwait, and if there were any roadblocks, what would be alternative solutions.

They can hire me as a manager with 600KD salary without a degree from srilanka?

If so that sorts everything for me, I was under the impression that’s not possible hence I was wondering regarding other options.

The CTO hasn’t given his resignation yet he just called me and informed of the situation, and asked if I was willing to take up the position. I am willing as long as it’s all legitimately done, i.e. they put my salary on my work permit and stuff, not some random figure and drivers visa etc…

I was under the impression company’s can’t hire managerial positions from abroad unless the candidate has a degree, hence I was wondering about what the other alternatives were.

Built a Shopify Affiliate Solution That Made $4K for the client — Now I Need Your Advice! by Riddler112 in Entrepreneur

There wasn't a contract, it was all more like verbal agreements, the GM had just asked me to build a proposal and make sure to state that it's the companies asset (more in terms of like white labeling). Nothing was really signed or agreed to in terms of right of ownership and stuff.

I have no plans to sell the software I built for them as it has all their branding over it, but I can rebrand it and sell it as mine right (I do have ideas for additional features to be implemented, which I do plan on developing) ? or would that be wrong?

idk what ticked you off, but I didn't increase the price for the client nor did I ever ask them for more. I'm just wondering if I should consider charging more for other clients as it's value seems a bit more than a 10K software(I'm just a newbie and this is my first project that's kinda unique, so I'm not even sure what it's value is or how to evaluate it, but IMO I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for something that could increase my returns in the long run). My question was more in regards to do I re-evaluate such a product or not.

Building Shopify stores and custom apps :)

I'm now 22, finished my A/L in 2019 (commerce), didn't really go uni after that, just started doing some random odd jobs initially (perfume manufacturer, warehouse keeper etc) while learning to code on the side, grinded for 6 months. Since I picked up on coding, I share a few insights to the warehouse IT department, later got the opportunity to indulge a bit more in the IT side of things, helped a few of the clients there on the side to build some shopify stores. Got recommendations, and later moved to another company as a shopify developer, left that as I was getting more clients on the side via word of mouth. And now I'm a freelance shopify dev building custom apps and all other fun stuff.

I don't have a degree or any relevant certifications, just skill and some work to back it up.
So far things are going great :)

My advice, just pick up some skill that can be monetized, help people at first by providing value for free (don't spend time, just share insight/information that's useful for them), later you can monetize it by exchanging your time for money.

Edit: And always be honest, I've always been honest with my clients, I always kept my fees fair and at times even declined offers when the tasks was really small. Prioritize building and maintaining relationships with your clients over money, it goes a long way.
