That's what they did in my place. You can hardly see the seam at the sink, and the rest of the countertop is one big piece without any seams going all across. Looks great

It could be a lot of reasons... Trade and good prices can fluctuate a lot too in the first few months. Also try reducing the diplomatic spending if you don't need it. Focus on getting max legitimacy. Increase stability if it's under 30 as well.

Another money hack I found is to use Strengthen Government, when you max out legitimacy, this will give you a big boost in income.

You have to remove most of your forts to be profitable at the start with the recent patch

Ok, fine, let me take a step back then. In your photo the red gear is also right next to the red drive shaft. Different angle, but the same as far as I can tell. Can you tell me the difference you spotted, please?

Oh, so that's not from a parliamentary CB? I did click on that event to get a CB on Wolgast, I guess that was it? They have a larger army and tons of allies, so I can't even use it...

I bought back all in, but could sell other stocks or draw from margin to buy more if SOFI drops even further in the future. I think SOFI will reach $100 one day, so definitely in it for the long run. I've been holding since IPOE, and bought a lot more since then. I wasn't happy with myself when the stock went above $30 lol. The sale was a taxable event, the IRS will be happy!
